I realize that, in light of all that happened last week, this might not seem like such a big deal anymore. Nevertheless, I have to share that I am glad to come from a country that just won the World Cup! ^^

I have a question. I am not... normal. I do not blend in, and I cannot hide. Even if I cover myself in a baggy hoodie and loose-fitting pants, even if I force my odd feet into regular shoes and cover my hands with sleeves, even if I draw up a hood and put up sunglasses and wrap my tail around my waist, people can still tell. They can tell I am hiding, and there is nothing people are more curious about than things that try to hide.

In Germany, I hid in plain sight. I was a freak, but in the circus, freaks are normal. Until the day I was caught out, and then I came here.

Even here, I have been hiding. But last week, I was invited to go along to a concert, to a mutant-friendly place. I almost did not go, but I am glad I went. But, that was a mutant-friendly place. Not... the real world, as such.

So, my question to all of those among us who cannot blend in. Who cannot put on a mask and hide among the normal. What do you do? How do you cope?

I do not want to be afraid any more.

What are everybody's plans for the summer? Will there be people remaining at the school, or will I be the only one?
