{ FAYE CHAMBERLAIN | |||
THE BASICS! FULL NAME: Faye Chamberlain NICKNAMES: Just call her Faye AGE / DOB: 18 | February 15, 1995 OCCUPATION: Student ALIGNMENT: Chaotic neutral BLOCK / ROOM: [to be filled out upon acceptance]
PERSONALITY! PRIMARY MOTIVATION: To have fun and do what she wants DEEPEST FEAR / INSECURITY: That she's not enough, somehow. That or that she's going to be forced to share magic again. Ew. MBTI: ESFP LIKES: Solo magic, intoxication potion, Jake, kicking witch hunter ass, whatever it is that she's interested in doing at that exact moment, coffee, Melissa, the crystals DISLIKES: sharing magic, being tied to other people, creepy voodoo guys that sell drugs and steal their things and try to kill them, being kidnapped, almost dying, witch hunters, Sally FAVORITE TOPICS OF CONVERSATION: Getting back her solo magic (which she has now, thaaaank you. Also this is only with certain people so far), boys, plans for having fun, herself When it comes to Faye, there's a lot more selfishness than selflessness. She wants to do things because she wants to do them, not to help other people. Like, okay, she gave up her super great awesome magic that Lee got her because it was killing the circle, but liiiike...why should Cassie have all this magic and she has nothing without the circle? That just doesn't seem fair. Plus, she can't be her mom going around killing people just to get what she wants. Maybe if Adam died, she wouldn't be sad, but hey, he's just an annoying do gooder and Cassie just keeps looking at him super sad and weird all the time, so wouldn't it help? Okay, she won't kill Adam. She has power and she knows it. It's probably one of the more dangerous things about her. More because she doesn't think things through and is incredibly reckless with it. Like when she did that spell to take Cassie's magic and then ended up taking the circle's magic and almost burning down the school. Who doesn't want to burn down their school, though? She also used her magic to push Sally out of the way because she was being really annoying. The bitch had it coming, okay? Like...okay, so she didn't mean to almost kill her and she felt bad about it, but really. She got over it a little while after the fact. Mostly because she was too annoyed that she didn't have solo magic and she was annoyed that everyone kept bringing it up to keep feeling bad about it. Unless she could feel bad about it in a really selfish way. There's a good portion of Faye that is all for show. She puts on a show of confidence and overt sexuality because it's easier to be a flashy peacock of a person than to admit that sometimes she's weaker than she really wants to be. Not so much by way of power, but in a general, having emotions sort of way. She overplays how many people she's slept with, she makes fun of people who she feels somewhat inferior to. It's all a show, however. The drinking and the drug usage are just part of that hard, vibrant exterior, though. Though, since Melissa almost died because of too much voodoo drug usage, she's laid off on the drugs portion of things. But that is not going to stop her from drinking. She likes to have fun. She's a teenager and she's basically not trying to grow up in that she becomes like Diana. She doesn't want to be responsible and adult-like, but she can wish to be treated like an adult all the same. She should be able to do what she wants when she wants to without having to ask permission all the time. Only now that she's 18, she's pretty sure that means that she has super permission because her mom can't force her to do things all the time. So there. She speaks pretty fluent sarcasm because it's easier not to take things that seriously. Sure, it's probably not the best thing at all times, but when things get serious, she's 100% not trying to have a breakdown. People are always trying to kill them. She needs to be able to keep her cool and fuck their shit up. If that means being sarcastic, then so be it. She'll carefully ignore the fact that she has been sarcastic since before they had people trying to kill them. It's just gotten worse since then. In that same vein, she is capable of staying cool in a stressful situation. Most notably each and every time that she has to worry about being killed. Definitely the worst, for the record. But knowing that they have the power to go up against pretty much anyone or anything helps. She will casually ignore the fact that she was not cool as a cucumber when she almost killed Sally, when she found her grandfather dead (well, after Cassie did first), and the first time that Jake broke up with her. She's pretty sure the second thing is forgivable because no one is calm when their favorite grandparent ends up dead and a small version of themselves is leading her to the dead body and a lot of creepy things happen. For all of her faults, Faye is loyal. At least for the most part. She fucks up a lot, but when it matters, she is loyal to her friends. At least when it comes to Jake and Melissa. Everyone else she can probably leave. Especially Cassie and Diana. Ugh. She can for sure say that she never abandoned Melissa because she was dating a boy Diana. But it's not really a big deal. Melissa always comes back to her even when she's a bad friend, so it's probably not a problem. When it comes down to it, she'll protect her circle because she's not fucking being left alone to deal with this bullshit alone. No, thank you.
HISTORY! LINK: History PROUDEST MOMENT or WORST MOMENT: Okay, well, if she's going for doing something that she's done something wrong, probably almost killing Sally that one time or stealing the Circle's magic and almost killing Melissa...and she guesses the others, too. But mostly Melissa. If you mean worst moment GENERALLY, probably when she found her grandfather dead in the lake. That was pretty awful. She does not want to revisit that.
SORTING! WHAT POKEMON WOULD YOUR CHARACTER BE?: Probably Jigglypuff because she gets angry when people ignore her. HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER REACT TO ARRIVING: Oh no. Faye had a lot of complaints when she woke up in...what was this? A hideous shift dress? Ugh. This had Cassie written all over it, but probably she'd wear it in black to make it match her new princess of darkness motif. Either way, it was ugly. Then there was the fact that this was not the first, not the second, but the third time that Faye had been kidnapped, and considering the last two times, people were trying to kill her? Well, it wasn't really a surprise to her that she should react the way she did. "I'm not fucking doing this again." Nope. She tried to focus her magic on the metal parts of the cage around her, trying to force them to bend to her will. "Lock unlock!" A pause, and her voice got a lot angrier, the frustration bleeding into it. "Lock unlock." What the actual fuck? She'd started a storm before, she'd fucking start one again. Only once it started, it was stopped and she glared out of the bars. This place was officially the fucking worst. Somehow, somehow, she was sure this was Cassie's fault. Everything was Cassie's fault. WHAT THREE ITEMS FROM HOME WOULD YOUR CHARACTER LIKE?: A crystal already charged up and two magic books from the abandoned house. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE CHOICES FOR YOUR CHARACTER'S SQUAD? 11, 12, 5
STATS! [Use the Power Grid] STRENGTH: 2 SPEED: 2 DURABILITY: 2 INTELLIGENCE: 3 WISDOM: 2 CHARISMA: 3 FIGHTING SKILLS: 3 ENERGY PROJECTION: 4 OTHER POWERS: Taken from the Wiki: Over the series, Faye has displayed an impressive and very powerful use of both Solo magic and Circle magic. Before her circle was bound she was capable of opening locks with a single thought, set cars on fire, and produce powerful storms (implying an affinity for both atmokinesis and electrokinesis), although she couldn't stop it when it got out of control. It is also worth noticing that her telekinetic powers were strong enough to violently push Sally Matthews for several meters and the speed was so fast that her head cracked when it collided with the rocks; thus killing her. That’s quite exceptional considering that after the binding ceremony even the complete circle could not replicate such a feat, thus suggesting Faye’s telekinetic powers were superior on their own and indicating the raw power she holds inside. Faye probably had the most strength and control when it came to Telekinesis out of anyone in her Circle. After the circle was bound, she lost her individual power, much to her dismay but that didn't stop her from searching for new ways of getting her power back or performing capable use of circle magic. When Abaddon was possessing Melissa, she was able to combine her powers with those of Adam and Diana to overheat the knife the demon was holding. Due to her Chamberlain lineage, she was able to connect with the residual energy of her dead grandfather that was trying to contact her. It is also worth mentioning that she displayed an affinity for Cryokinesis when she temporarily recovered her powers due to a Voodoo ritual during the Fire/ice dance and apparently that is both a hard elemental power to master and the elemental affinity of Faye's Mother, thus implying that she inherited the power affinity from her Mom. Faye is possibly the third most powerful witch in her circle. Channeling: The act of drawing or summoning other forms of energy, by focusing on the magic of another witch.

MISC! FANDOM: The Secret Circle CANON POINT: Season 1, episode 22 WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PLAYING THIS CHARACTER: I usually play Diana, but Faye is my second love and she'd also offset my current characters by being more abrasive and bitchy. But Faye is also pretty amazing in her own way. PB: Phoebe Tonkin
