Eclipse

Appearance:
Eclipse has long black hair that trails down to his rear. It is always held loosely at the base of his neck by a thick gold band, his bangs are left loose around his heart-shaped face as well as a few longer strands to frame it. His eyes are black, his skin lightly tanned because of his Master's dessert realm. A half moon earring dangles from his left ear. His fingers are long and clawed. He always wears a necklace, the pendant of woven wood, a sign of his allegiance and pledge to Raenef.

In clothes he has a few layers. The first is a thin black silk tunic, with matching pants that he rarely shows. Over this is a charcoal gray robe, belted at his slim waist with a thin black leather strap. Both articles are open at his chest, leaving a long trail of skin visible, nearly to his waist. When traveling he puts on a long billowing black cloak with a hood that is clasped near his throat.

Eclipse always holds himself with head held high, and a stony expression on his face. Only until Raenef the fifth does his face ever soften. Controlled and well groomed he is proud of himself and his appearance. No one pulls on his hair, his hair is to be untouched, and even his body is to be untouched.

Background

Since birth demons are groomed to be the most terrifying beings ever imagined. They are pushed to become scary, evil, sadistic, strong and things from the worst nightmares ever dreamed. Always beautiful, always intelligent, regal and worthy of awe; demons are feared by all. Even by their own kind if powerful enough.

Eclipse was not an exception to this. Raised by some of the most powerful and harsh hands in the demon world, he became one of the strongest. Actually, the fourth most powerful demon of the highest order. At this rank he was sought after by all the demon lords. Eclipse was wanted as a servant to all of them, he was steadfast, loyal and anything any demon lord would wish for in a companion.

After much deliberation, Eclipse accepted the offer of the most powerful demon lord. Demon lord Raenef, King of the demons. After all, it was only fitting that one such as Eclipse be matched with the most powerful, most respected and awed of all the demons. Beginning his companionship the two created havoc on the other worlds. They spread evil among the humans, causing wars, battles, so much sin that there would never be the light of good on the world again.

Eclipse even went to far as to create a simple magic that even the most foolish of humans could use, the Dark Arrow. With this invention the humans started even greater wars with each other. Finally the Hangma war began. A war over humans, between light and dark, between the demons and the followers of the god Rased. Many cruelties were poured onto the battles by Raenef and Eclipse. Eclipse became the most feared demon within the ranks of the High Clerics of the Temple of Rased and among the humans.

During this war even the creatures of heaven were being destroyed without thought by Raenef. Sacrificing themselves they cursed the Demon King with shortened life and destruction of his heirs. Withdrawing from the battle Raenef studied the curse, vowing to come up with a way to revoke it. On the second day of his withdrawal he claimed to have succeeded, only to die. His death was mourned by Eclipse, especially since Raenef hadn't named an heir.

One hundred fifty years passed. The Hangma war was stopped with a treaty between the heavenly bodies and that of the demons. The treaty has been honored ever since. Eclipse has lived on his own in the realm of Raenef, waiting for something.

The gods Odin and Freya finally called Eclipse to them, tasking him with the finding of the heir to Raenef. This new Raenef would be Demon Lord Raenef the Fifth. Eclipse would be the one to groom him into the role.

Searching the world for the new demon, Eclipse finally found him. A young boy that bore the name Raenef. Taking him to his realm, Eclipse began teaching the all too happy and excitable boy the ways of the demon world. Slowly and surely the new Raenef was growing upon Eclipse. His kind ways, foolish traits and silly smiles were not the way of a demon lord, but perhaps it was time for a change in the demon realm.

Personality

Eclipse is not a kind soul hiding in the ranks of evil demons. He is an evil demon. Full of mischief, mayhem, sin, pride and deeds that would make even the most haunted of individuals suffer from shock. He is proud, vain, loyal to those that deserve it, brutal, noble, and powerful. He knows all this well.

While getting to know someone he studies them quietly, often letting them go on with their business or do all the talking while he does such. Eclipse is a very mysterious person, hardly ever talking, hardly ever showing his emotions or sharing his personal thoughts. Quiet and reserved, he is the picture of the perfect demon.
