Name: Gretel Nickname(s): Various names she's been called over the years, rarely any good Age: Approx 30 Species: Grand White Witch Fandom: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
Height: 5'9 Weight: 130 Build: Lean and strong Hair: Dark brown, waist-length, usually braided Eyes: Warm brown Distinguishing Features: Very fair skin and obvious freckles Canon Point: A few weeks after the movie Inventory: Basically everything she owns; clothes on her back, crossbow and arrows, twin curved fighting blades, money pouch, medicine bag, oil skin, flints, and her mother's Grimoire
No Petticoats: The modern equivalent would be 'tomboy'. Gretel's main influences growing up were her brother and the constant war-like atmosphere in which they lived their lives. She is not delicate, she is not sensitive, and she doesn't flinch, swoon, or recoil at a little (or a lot of) blood. She appreciates things such as good beer and powerful weaponry over fine dresses or courtship etiquette. Like her brother, she's often stoic and battle hardened. And though she isn't a booze-swilling cock-waver like many of the strongest men in her world, she has no problem keeping ranks with them. In fact, there have been several who haven't been able to keep up with her.
Actions speak loudest: Though she tends to be much more eloquent than Hansel, Gretel still isn't much of a talker. She's happy to let the people around her open their mouths first, while she listens - extremely closely - filing any information given (blatantly or otherwise) away for later use before carefully mulling over her course of action. When she does speak, what she says is usually well thought-out, concise, easily understood. The occasional sharp sarcasm or swear-word will make it past her breath, but only in times of high stress, when she needs a little relief from being so damn serious all the time. But for the most part, she prefers to show rather than tell.
Heart of White Gold: In spite of their violent, blood soaked lives, full of the darkest deeds to plague humanity, Gretel has never let go of her sense of justice and compassion - in fact, over the years, it's only gotten stronger, one might even imply it's woven in the very thread of her soul. She has a natural knack for seeing the best in people (and trolls), and is most comfortable in situations where she can do the most good.
Likes: Being right and winning arguments. Offing Witches. Good sleep (though it's rare). Actual gentlemen (those are rare, too). Her brother (sometimes). Happy endings (stories that don't end in death or misery, get your head out of the gutter). The occasional pint.
Dislikes: Dark witches. Pigheaded men. Being underestimated. The Curse of Hunger for Crawling Things. Her brother (sometimes). Candy.
