Tudor corset on sale!!!
This post is public for now (in case you want to pimp it :P)... after the deal is done, I'll turn it back to friends only, as that is the nature of my journal.

For 'let's send Rattie to Holland' fund!!!

You can see here pretty well how two bottom grommets on the left let the fabric loose. The damned things just twisted when i was nailing them in. I plan on buying new grommets and replacing them as soon as I get me some hands on some cash. The rest are strong, but these two just REFUSED.

On tihs piccie, if you take a close look at the pink fabric, especially around the seams, you can see those red dots. It's just me marking the seams and all (yeah, yeah, had to readjust them eventually while sewing nad all). I didn't want to wash it or anything (was a bit too scared of how silk would respond and all) so I just left them there. I suppose with some wear they'll slowly brush off. Then again, it's the inside, I can't imagine how anyone would mind that much.

This is taken from my website (:P) and it's a closeup of one of the flowers, so you see what it looks like.

Sadly, this corset is far from a sewing wonder or anything. Its bones are cable ties tied on each end with an insulating tape (that sticky tihng, dunno its name).

It also offers no curves or anything. It's the style which was designed to flatten the torso and make its shape conical. That's about what it does. It was me experimenting with pretty fabrics and patterns.

Its measurements are as follows:

Waist - 82cm/32in
Bust - 97cm/38in

You can notice no hip measurements, since this corset doesn't have hips.

The front length is - 34cm/13,4in
Side length - 20cm/8in

On the pictures, it's on me, and my measurements are as follows:

Bust is 112cm/44in
Waist 99cm/39in

I'm rather squishy myself, so...

Construction details - upper layer is made of what I think is silk dupioni (it's 100% silk, though), with those pretty flowers there. It was a sale in a fabric store,t hey were getting rid of their ugly silks and I got this baby for around 10$. Under the silk is a layer of 100% cotton twill in creamy colour. The lining is a pink cotton with a bit of elastene (it's impossible to find non elastic cotton nowadays, dammit!) but since the strength layer has no stretch, it's pretty safe.

The binding is silk dupioni. I made the binding myself. It's as close to the pinkish tones as I could get in the fabric selection here. Binding is finished by hands, people! Hours upon hours upon hours! :P

It has 66 cable ties (but 64 bone channels, I simply put two cable ties in each of the two front hcannels to work as a busk of sorts.

It comes with the pink ribbon that's on the pictures.

So... it boils down at as much as you offer. The payment goes to [info]delaese. We'll work of a way for me to ship it over somehow.
