Her mother is a clothing designer, her father a movie producer. She grew up privileged but, despite their wealth, her parents were LA rarities -- down-to-earth people who believed in helping others out. They taught both their children to do the same. Blythe is an extremely intelligent girl and has excelled in her studies. In fact, when she was a kid, that's all she seemed to do. Study and volunteer. Her mother wanted to help her break out of her shell, see another side of life and began using her as a model for her vintage clothing line. Instead of helping, that just gave the other girls at school another reason to dislike Blythe. Not that she ever told her mother that. Blythe wears a lot of her mother's designs and still occasionally models for her. Although her smarts could have advanced her to higher grades, her parents kept her with her same age group, fearing that if she went too far, too fast, it would cause her even more social problems. Still, they let her take extra classes and hired tutors in subjects she was interested in so that she wouldn't get bored. When it came time for college, Blythe could have gone anywhere she wanted. She decided that place was the other side of the country, in Tampa. A sophomore duel majoring in international politics (officially "government and world affairs") and economics (and minoring in communication), she's been studying abroad in England for the semester.
