Miss Melinda Bobbin, Maître Pâtissier

Physical Description (Please include link to your PB): Kirsten Dunst. Melinda is the typical girl-next-door: 5’5½’’ tall, with blond hair, blue eyes, an easy smile enhanced by dimples and enough curves to keep her slim body from being boy’ish. While she’s not considered short, she doesn’t quite reach average height.

Personality: There’s a reason Melinda works with the sweet kitchen: in order to get the desired result, everything needs to be weighed and measured precisely and there are sequences that has to be followed. That is not saying that she’s like that in every aspect of her life, it is simply where she finds her peace. She loves people, love being around them, though she doesn’t crave their attention. She has always been happy to leave the spotlight to others more interesting and attractive; like her friends Cho and Cormac, for instance.

First Impression: Sweet. Literally sweet. It’s been years since Melinda stopped wearing perfume due to amount of time spent in the kitchen and around fragrant ingredients such as vanilla, cocoa and caramel. That sweetness, however, bleeds over into the actual meeting where she will be smiling and polite, open and agreeable, unless she has a really good reason to be angry with you.

Weaknesses: ”A dash of this and some of that”-cooking, her appearance makes her appear less competent than she actually is, animals.

Why has your character joined the hit Wiz-TV Show The Magic of Love? With her best friends, Cho and Cormac, both being a part of this new show and her mother offering to run her patisserie for the six weeks the show will take, Melinda couldn’t turn down the chance to experience this. Of course, the dates will be fun, but it’s also a great opportunity for her to make a name for herself and direct attention to her business, and then there’s really no better place to really taste all the amazing local fruits and delicacies.

Relationship history: Melinda has dated plenty, and still does. She is convinced that the love of her life is out there, and that one day she will settle down and start a family with that someone. Up until now, however, the men she’s dated haven’t been willing to settle for what little time Melinda has to spare, since running a business is time consuming. What? Cormac? She’s been aware of him since her first day at Hogwarts. After all, he is her best friend’s cousin. But it wasn’t until they met in The Slug Club that they got to talking, and even tried dating. Said date lasted, oh, about half an hour, then it became clear that they were better suited as friends. Cormac, conceited and arrogant though he is, is now a valued friend and neighbor.

What sort of witch/wizard are they looking for at TML? Melinda isn’t fooling herself by thinking that she’ll find the love of her life on a reality TV show such as this, however, should that happen, she isn’t going to turn her back on him. So for now, someone who’s open to exploring the culinary aspects of the destination and who has a passion for something the way she does cakes and desserts would more than make her trip a success.
