Qasim is a merchant, able to get you anything that you need or desire. Wealthy, conniving, selfish, and somewhat cowardly due to past traumas, it is balanced out by a genuine and kind heart. While he will do nearly anything in the name of self preservation, he is the sort of man it pays to have on your side. |
Nic Callitari was born to the name Nicola, but prefers Nicolas. Running away from an engagement to his best friend, the heir apparent to the throne Victor Fairchild, he discarded his past as a Duchess and took up life as a man and a thief. It is only recently that he has come to terms with the knowledge that he was born to the wrong body, as living in a Victorian society makes it incredibly difficult to be transgender, and still often refers to himself as "her", but this is slowly changing. Despite his born gender and still having the body of a woman, he is an immense womanizer, and can easily be found by peering under the nearest lady's skirt. |
DamSam is a product of tragedy and madness. Once a brilliant inventor and the cousin to the heirs of the throne, he was struck by tragedy when his beloved wife and youngest daughter were brutally murdered by assassins, their bodies lost in the wreckage and never recovered. After unsuccessfully attempting to kill himself and his remaining two children with poison, he was stricken mad. Now driven insane and left to the streets, rarely able to see his beloved son and daughter and overcome with guilt and grief, he embraces his insanity, spending his days building stranger and stranger things, throwing himself into his madness more and more in hopes to escape his own past. |
Mathilda "Mattie" Hayward is a woman beyond her time. Shamed wherever she goes, she is a divorcee and single mother, having left her husband because of the severe abuse that she endured under his hand. Having taken her son and left before he could turn his violence on him, she refuses to cow to anyone. Instead, she rose up from the dredges of society, doing whatever was necessary to provide for her boy and give him every opportunity possible. Now a bar owner, she has more attitude most men, a sharper left hook than the average guard, and enough cynicism to power a small nation. |
A man forged of violence and steel, Hilton is a giant of a beast. Towering over 6'5, he thinks of nothing of brutality and violence, and adheres to the rigors of religion and law, completing whatever tasks set out before him by his superiors without question. He holds to his structures and rules, following his rituals daily, as if a single misstep will result in some apocalyptic catastrophe. Having escaped the dredges of the lowest class through the military, he earned the name "Dragovar the Destroyer" while enrolled, and eventually earned favor with the highest nobles, who paid his way to become an attorney. Now he speaks out against the equality of the classes, believing the lower class are born inferior, using himself and his own family as an example of the darkness inherent in the filth of the lesser man. |
