Complacency is dangerous. The entire nation turned against mutants not two months ago and it nearly cost many of us not only our freedom, but our lives. Only when they were facing defeat did the enemy realize their mistake. Like the child caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Or the student in class I observed during finals. It's only cheating if you get caught, were his thoughts. Imagine how, if nurtured, this dogma may be built into the ruling powers that govern your own next generation.
I, for one, am eager to see what the new year will bring.
