015; 05 April 1980 [05 Apr 10 @ 8:09am] As a father, nothing gives me more pride than in seeing my children grow into valued, upstanding members of this community through their excellent choices and unflappable representation of their ancestry. How can I, as a parent, not be well-pleased to see my sons and daughter exemplifying the very strength of character my wife and I have hoped to instill in them? Yesterday my daughter and youngest child, Celeste, turned 20-years-old. The tenacity and dedication she has given both her obligations and social conscience in the last year have been (in my perhaps bias opinion) exemplary. I will walk her down the aisle this July knowing that she is prepared for, and that she will predominate in, this new chapter of her life. There is little more I can ask for in life, except perhaps, for an end to war and for the equanimity that has been out of our reach for so long. I do not wish to see my expected grandchildren be raised in the same state of affairs my wife and I have had to bring our own children up surrounded by. May the Ministry of Magic have the courage to recognize their own faulting in this war and learn from it, and may we all remember that in order for the peace we crave to become reality, we must all make it clear that we want it. Though he had already contributed so impressively to the magical community as both a wizard and patron of the arts, I had quite hoped to continue to watch Evan grow and advance within the wizarding world.
