Parvati Malfoy was a woman who loved to sleep in. She was a night owl by nature, and if left to her own devices, could stay cocooned in her bedsheets until early afternoon. Thereby, it was only a big occurance that would find her, on a Saturday morning at 8AM, having untangled herself from her husband's arms and padding downstairs toward the kitchens.
Wincing over how cold it was downstairs when the house elves weren't around to light the fire, Parvati rolled up the sleeves of her
pajamas and switched on the lights in the epicly gargantuan Malfoy Kitchens.
It was half a year into their marriage, and Parvati had felt the urge to host their first dinner party that was intimate by nature and not a grand display. Although a princess in her tastes, Parvati was very fond of casual, laid back gatherings, and a small dinner party with some of their closest friends seemed ideal.
To be quite honest, she had rather fancied a daydream of herself and Draco cooking together like those modern couples on wiz-vision comedy shows. You know, she would toss flour at him playfully, he would smirk and sprinkle water on her when she wasn't looking...fun stuff. Cute stuff.
Grabbing bowls and plates from all about the kitchen, she laughed to herself at the concept. Instead, the reality was that she had spent Friday night doing all the grocery shopping while her husband shared drinks with some colleagues at the newest
Galbraith Restaurant and Bar.
Spelling the radio on, Parvati wished for a moment that she hadn't given the house elves the whole day off, as cooking alone in these large kitchens could be quite lonely. Oh well, she shrugged it off, there was work to be done and no time to dally. Pulling a knife from it's block as if it was the master sword itself, Parvati began cutting a variety of vegetables and herbs. First, carrots, then peppers and now, some mint.
