Though her father was never a deatheater himself, the family were, on the down low, dark sympathizers, giving money towards the pureblood cause, though never agreeing with the means taken to achieve the ends. Extremely doted on by her parents, grandmother and even twin sister, Parvati grew up like a little princess. An affectionate, vibrant child, Parvati got along with most everyone. Her temper however, was also legendary, as she was prone to throwing drama-queen antics in the form of full fledged tantrums if she didn't get her way. Her childhood was overall idyllic and sheltered, in which all she knew was pureblood parties, fancy dresses and wealth. In Hogwarts, Parvati's pureblood upbringing was muted by her Gryffindor house, in which she made close friends and excelled as a social butterfly. She established the Hogwarts Social Club as well as the Interhouse common room as her mark on the great wizarding school. Raised as a pureblood, Parvati is capable of being the image of discretion, a true lady in every sense of the word. Around her friends, however, Parvati quickly becomes a sprightly, bubbly, whirlwind of giggles. Although extremely clever, and academically smart (Well, except for Potions), Parvati tends to lack common sense and happens to be somewhat gullible. Paired with her extreme love of the color pink, fashion, divination and all things romantic, this can sometimes cause people who don't know her to underestimate her. This is a dangerous thing to do, however, for beneath her gentle exterior lies a sharp, cunning young woman who can manipulate and charm anything out of anyone. Well aware of her beauty, and standing as one of the two most beautiful pureblood women (the second being her sister), Parvati can be vain and critical of others. Parvati loves luxury and wealth, and often forgets that others may not be as fortunate as she is. There is a slight elitist streak that runs in her blood, but it is only shown rarely and when in a situation (amongst her pureblood friends) that would foster it. Despite this, Parvati is a very caring girl with a huge heart. She hates seeing people being put down when they are helpless and will stand up for the underdog whenever possible. Once you've gained Parvati's love you will have it forever. She would go to the ends of the world for her friends and family. After Hogwarts, Parvati entered into Mediwitch training alongside Padma, and the two excelled in their field. Following this, Parvati, unlike her sister, did not apply to St.Mungo's School of Healing to become a Healer, and instead married Draco Malfoy and settled into a life as a society wife, working only with the family businesses, charities and endeavours. Currently, Parvati is one of the it-girls of pureblood society, a sure pledge into The Orchids Society. Furthermore, she, along with her husband Draco, have begun launching the beginnings of the Platinum Party Movement, something that promises to make great changes.  Draco and Parvati had an on-and-off again relationship that lasted many years. It began in their fifth year, but their relationship was secret until their seventh year, and was punctuated with many arguments, angst and the occasional break up. After Hogwarts, Draco and Parvati broke up due to Draco not wanting to remove dark artifacts from Malfoy Manor. His closeness to the dark arts had always been something that came between them. After being apart for over a year (during which they both saw other people), it was clear that the two were meant to be and they reunited, with Draco clearing out Malfoy Manor of all dark related objects (or most at least). They were together for only a few months when Draco proposed, and in 2001 they were married in a lavish wedding fit for royalty. While some may not understand their relationship, the two share an indescribable bond that nothing has been able to break. It is love in the fullest, mixed with an explosive sexual tension (that Draco didn't get to really make best use of until their wedding night, poor chap) and true understanding of one another. Around eachother they can truly be themselves. Though their personalities are very different, they compliment eachother extremely well and thus, make a formidable team. Together, they are the power couple of pureblood society, and are about to make a splash into politics via The Platinum Party. Much. Though Ratnam Patil, Parvati's father, was never a deatheater himself, distant outbranches of the family did have members who were in the deatheater movement. The Patils themselves were dark sympathizers, giving money to the pureblood cause, though not particularly agreeing with the means taken to achieve the ends. Parvati's Grandfather was involved in Pureblood politics before his death, wanting to emphasis the sanctity of wizarding blood through more civilized means. The Platinum Party was Parvati's idea, based vaguely on this part of her family history. Parvati's father, a former Slytherin, is a Potions expert who worked at the Ministry in some highpaying job just as his father before him. Her mother, Ranjini Patil, went to a school in India, is a typical pureblood wife, not working, but instead filling her time with committees and various fundraisers. Unlike most other women though, Parvati's Mum enjoys the work she was does, and it was from her that Parvati received her light, flirtasious nature. Parvati's Grandmother also lives with the Patil family, and it is from her that the twins inherited both their extreme talent at Charms and their kind personalities. Parvati and Padma are the only children born to the Patil family, and as such are the direct heirs to the fortune.
