Logan is very carefree in a lot of ways. He doesn't like to plan ahead, but prefers to take things day by day. Logan does not like to talk about things that make him uncomfortable, and that's generally anything that revolves around his own feelings. If he's loyal to you, he'll be there no matter what, and yes, he'll be someone you can talk to, but don't expect a lot of wisdom and responsible advice in return. Logan wants to just chill and enjoy life, regardless of what that entails. He's not overly moral and finds authority to be a pain in his ass. If something (or someone) feels good to him, he'll want it, at least for a little while, until he wants something (or someone) else. Logan has never had any real meaningful relationships but for a small handful of friends, and he's okay with that. He's not interested in commitment or anything long term, and he's *usually* upfront with that.
Logan can be a lot of fun for the people in his life, but he's also problematic. He has extreme highs and extreme lows, and he can lose his temper if you catch him in the wrong mood. Violence will sometimes feel as good to him as sex or getting high, and he's not always aware that not everyone shares those same feelings. He doesn't necessarily want to be a bad person, and he's not always out to be malicious, but he does have a mean streak, again, depending on his mood.

- Born in Point Pleasant on August 15, the second and last child of Osian and Alina Rees. Logan's childhood was normal to him, but fraught with a lot of fighting between his parents. They were verbally and emotionally abusive to one another and Osian's extramarital affairs were not exactly a secret, nor was Alina's pill addictions.
- Logan often needed extra help in school as he didn't have much of an attention span and found academics to be boring. He was given tutors and an IEP and eventually his doctor suggested to his mom that he be put on Ritalin to help his ADHD. It helped somewhat, but his behavioral problems continued.
- When Logan turned ten his dad started getting physically abusive toward him. It wasn't frequent, but usually when Logan cursed or backtalked his parents. There were times Logan would deliberately provoke his dad into hitting him, since it seemed to be the best way to get his attention. At the same time, Logan also started hanging out with Jasper Lucas who lived a couple streets over. Jasper had some family issues of his own and while they never really talked about it, they still bonded thanks to what they had in common.
- Logan never really grew out of his problems. He was a freshman in high school when his parents split up and he was put on anti-depression medication shortly after. Whenever he would stay with his dad, the two ended up beating the crap out of each other and eventually he stopped staying overnight at Osian's house, only stopping in a couple of times of week to say hi, or ask for money.
- While he was doing just enough academically to pass, Logan was consistently getting into trouble, usually with Jasper. Fighting at school, cheating on tests, ditching classes and getting high in the parking lot were a frequent occurrence for Logan and he could usually be found in detention or in school suspension for most of his junior year. His parents had both given up trying to knock some sense into him, so Logan didn't really have any solid influences in his life to keep him on the right track. His sister had graduated and run off to Florida with her boyfriend and the rest of his extended family was just as messed up as everyone else he knew.
- At the end of his junior year Logan was accused of cheating on one of his final exams by his English teacher. Generally Logan would fess up to it, sometimes even bragging about it, but this time he had actually done the work on his own and took offense to the accusation. He argued with the teacher and some harsh words were spoken between the two. Logan lost his temper and punched his teacher, breaking his nose. He was promptly expelled and charged with assault. The charges were eventually dropped by Osian and Alina had had enough, and they scraped together enough money to send Logan to a 'therapuetic' academy for troubled boys in North Carolina for his senior year.
- The academy was Christian based, which Logan found to be hysterical given his disbelief in God and the fact that his family had never been religious. It was a rigid system, but Logan soon learned what he needed to say and do to get through the experience without losing his shit. It was in the academy that he also began to explore his sexuality. He had dated plenty of girls back in Point Pleasant and had lost his virginity years before, but the academy presented him with something new and he was eager to take it.
- Despite the academy being there to 'whip' Logan into shape and discipline him, it didn't really work. He and his new friends still got into plenty of trouble, they were just better at hiding it. Logan adopted something of a hedonistic approach to life and that continued even after he graduated from the academy.
- Rather than return home, he went out west with a couple friends. They got odd jobs here and there to pay for their trip, stopping wherever they felt like, sleeping outside when they needed to, and occasionally stealing or shoplifting. Logan was only gone a few months when he started feeling the urge to return home. As the holidays approached, he was finally able to scrape together enough money to get a bus ticket back to Maine, and from there he hitchhiked back to Point Pleasant.
