Name: Poe True Name: Rosalinda Raven Carrillo Gender: Female Age: 22 Birthday: November 13, 1998 Greatest Ambition: To reduce men to the begging, squirming rats that they really are. Physical Description: Hair: Dark brown almost black and layered, reaching a little lower than the middle of her back. Eyes: Black and cold. If the eyes truly are the windows into the soul, then Poe’s soul is colder than oil that has frozen solid. Height: 5’9”, and made taller by heels more often than not. Weight: 119 lbs. Build: Tall and thin. Slight curves but only enough to fill out a bikini. Distinguishing Marks: Poe has made her body a living canvas. Her first tattoo was given to her when she accepted into the Angels at the age of twelve and that tolerable pain, the rush that the needle gave her, invited her to cover her body with works of art, many of which she drew herself. The tattoo that many see first is the number of stars framing her left eye but there are many more that can be seen under what little clothing she is normally seen wearing. Sexual Orientation: Lesbian (Men just have never done anything for her physically and, in her line of work, she has seen countless times that men are scum.) Single or taken: Single Best friend:

Personality: Poe is a bitch. There is no simpler way to describe her. Her past has drilled into her the notion that one has to be cold and heartless to survive and she takes that very seriously. Her nickname, given to her by the members of her gang, holds true in the fact that, like Edgar Allen Poe, she is more than a little demented. She enjoys playing with people, building them up and then bringing them crashing back down (in more ways than one) and loves messing with the minds of men in particular. Her job at the Palace gives her the perfect opportunity to do just that. To her clients, she is the sexiest, most passionately entertaining vixen that the world could have produced. But all of that is a job- an act that she puts on to keep food in her stomach and a roof over her very prettily made-up head. The only people who have ever seen any true warmth from Poe are Marica, her first true love, and Reina, who, after seeing her weary and weeping, would never again accept her hard exterior. Those two are the only ones who have ever seen the warm and loving mush of a heart that Poe shields with her cold stares; the person that could spend hours drawing beautiful works of art or petting a kitten.

Personal History: Poe was one of those babies that were left on the door steps of Los Angeles after birth. She knows nothing of any parents or relatives that may be out there looking for her and, frankly, she doesn’t give a damn. She was taken into the Carillo's home and became a part of the Hispanic family with middle-aged parents and two daughters… both of which were members of a gang that ran in their blood. Their mother had married the ex-leader and they were to follow in her footsteps, one of them ascending the throne to be the queen of the Angels and the other two marrying the next two men in the chain of command. Poe was raised as the blessing, the girl meant to be the leader, to keep a tight grip on the main man. Her pale skin and dark hair, her cat-eyes and her cool persona made her the enigma of the gang- the pair tight jeans that every guy wanted into. But nobody liked her. Her sister’s despised her for coming and taking the attention of every man in the gang, as did the other senoritas. And the men liked her lithe little body, but not that cold and brooding personality. Even her adoptive mother only saw in her a chance to bring her family to glory. Poe was well aware of the fact that she wasn’t liked by the other member’s of the gang, but she had power and authority and she wielded it over the other boys and girls like an axe hanging at the ready over their necks. If something happened that displeased her, the wrong-doer was punished with her own bare hands. And the countless number of scarred boys and girls were proof that the little queen was very often displeased. Perhaps the most fearful thing was the fact that through all of the beatings, Poe remained completely emotionless. Only one girl never showed fear of Poe, a pretty teen that went by Marica. She shadowed Poe, never truly leaving her alone and taking on the role of protector for the girl that was two years her junior. Poe grew to accept her as she followed on delivery runs and to parties thrown by the Angels and soon even liked her enough to call her a friend. Two years later, by the time Poe turned sixteen, Marica was more than her best friend. While none of the boys in the gang had yet managed to catch her interest, Marica seemed more beautiful every time Poe looked at her. But that love would never be allowed. Poe’s mother was set on her marriage to a boy named Luis that had tried to stick his hands down her shirt more times than she could count. She went on the dates that her mother sent her on, made up her face and wore the pretty dresses that were always laid out for her prior to the evening's festivities and made sure to smile prettily at Luis's grotesquely pompous grin while fantasizing over what Marica would share with her after Luis left. They fell into something warm and comfortable... something right but something forbidden within the Angels. For two years, they managed to hide their love for one another: Marica played the part of the loyal best friend and didn't argue whenever Poe's mother sent her on dates with eligible young gang members. And Poe would simply replace her cold stare, the one that she never wore around Marica, and endure the unwanted attention. Whenever they could find the time, whenever Poe's house was empty, or Marica's was empty, they were together in the closest way possible. She had never been with a man, so one could say that she is, technically, still a virgin, but Marica had touched her in ways that the family's priest would never approve of. They grew as close as they could possibly be, Marica staying in the place of Poe's shadow and even beginning to accompany her on her dates, and then, one Poe's hundredth date with Luis, the scumbag, Marica lost her temper when he ran his hand up Poe's thigh. She hit him over the top of the table and, although Poe managed to calm her down, Luis had figured out the truth before he had even hit the floor. Knowing what he knew was the perfect revenge for every time she had scorned his attentions and before the week was out, Domingo Carillo knew about the whole, sordid affair. Poe would be sent to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to her adoptive mother's family, to "gain some sense". She was told she could return to Los Angeles as soon as she promised to marry one of the higher-ups in the gang, but everyone involved knew by now that she would never do such a thing. Even when her family told her that Marica had been made to leave town, Poe refused to accept a marriage proposal, maintaining her stony visage and even going as far as flipping off her adoptive father and the sisters that kept sniggering behind their prettily polished fingers. She was on a bus the next morning. And so, an eighteen year old Rosalinda was sent to Cheyenne to forget about a forbidden love. But Ana Carillo's family would never find her at the bus station where she was supposed to be picked up. Upon setting foot in the pathetic town, Poe's first action was to find a tattoo parlor, where she proceeded in needling stars into the skin around her eye. The job didn't take long and, after looking it over in the mirror, Poe promised herself that she would never let another woman turn her into the "star-crossed lover" that Marica had made her. She would never love another with the same passionate intensity. Determined to prove to herself that no woman could affect her, Poe ventured to the nearest Gentleman's club and sat down directly in front of the stage, crossing her legs and ignoring the hungry stares of the "gentlemen". When the next act came on, she would watch her dance and then leave, leaving as much of her pain and loneliness behind in the form of one dollar bills as she could manage. But that plan was soiled by the fact that the next act was Marica- Or a woman who looked almost exactly like her ,possessing the same striking eyes and stunning figure. The men started hooting and hollering when Poe's eyes went wide and she leapt onto the stage, her long legs gaining quick ground and her arms pulling the dancer into a desperate embrace. Her kiss covered the lips that looked so like Marica's while tears streaked down her cheeks, burning the freshly inked stars. This woman didn't feel like Marica, didn't share her burnt sugar scent or taste of ripe peaches the way she did. Poe had wrenched herself away from the woman and outside of the club before the catcalls diminished. Poe sat in the alleyway outside of the club for hours, alternating between weeping and cussing at those that had the courage to ask why she wept. She stayed there, unsure of where to go and mourning the loss of her lover until the little side street got dark and the Marica-lookalike came out of the employee entrance. Finding the weeping Poe, she introduced her self as Reina and asked if there was something she could help her with. She looked so much like Marica that Poe couldn't help spilling her entire story and then asking for help. She would need a job, somewhere to stay, and some way to keep clear of the relatives she was supposed to be prisoner of. In the following weeks Reina would find her all of these things and Poe would find another person to trust and befriend. She swore she would never separate herself from Reina, would do anything for her after she sacrificed so much of her time and money to help her. They only got closer when the virus rolled through town and people started panicking. Poe wasn't terribly affected by it. The only person she worried about was Marica, not knowing where she was and if she was ok. Other than that, Poe could care less if any of family died. During the virus was when Poe truly showed her cold and detached personality. She did her work. She came home and hung out with Reina. And, in her demented way, she enjoyed the panic on the men and women's faces. Especially on the faces that were over the age of twenty five. She enjoyed the fear on her customers' faces when she knew they were thinking they could be next. And Reina didn't think her sick for laughing at them, didn't judge her when poe shared how sick and pitiful she thought the men were. If there was one thing the gang life had taught her, it was that death was not to be feared but revered. And life had taught her that humanity was trash, that they deserved whatever mother nature could hurl at them. She had Reina and her age kept her safe, she was sure. She was content to watch the sick little men and their pitiful women die. When Reina moved back to Sundance, Poe went with her, becoming her right-hand-woman and the first dancer at the Palace. She stuck with her during the tribal wars, stuck with her through every single trial and tribulation and is now very happy to call herself Reina's friend. Through all of this, Poe has continued to hope for Marica's survival and, at the age of 23, has never given her heart to another woman.

Birth Location: Los Angeles, CA Blood Family: Unknown Adoptive Family: Father - Domingo Carillo Mother - Ana Carillo Eldest Sister - Maria Carillo Middle Sister - Tanya Carillo What tribe do they belong to if any?: Whichever tribe that Reina affiliates herself with, so currently, the Jackals. How long have they been with that tribe?: Since they took over for the Mountain Lions and prior to said hostile takeover. Personal Strengths: physical strength, nerves of steel, not easily shocked or shaken Personal Weaknesses: vintage clothing, furry animals, and pretty girls Personal Skills and Training: Poe barely made it through high school with passing grades, being more blessed in common sense and street smarts than in book smarts. Her foster family spent more time on the streets than with their noses in books and Poe was a quick learner. By the time she was fourteen, she was one hot little number with a steady gun hand and the cruelest knife tricks. Her other talents are used for quite a different purpose. She has been dancing professionally since she met Reina in Cheyenne at the age of 18. Job: Poe is a dancer at the Palace, a job that keeps her physically in shape and offers relatively good pay. She could survive on her own but enjoys little luxuries and would never willingly be a drifter. Her gang history equips her with the means to hurt, maim, and even kill a person, which she has offered numerous times to do for someone Reina dislikes. She is perfectly content to help men get their jollies and be Reina's second. PB: Kat Von D Plot ties Plot tie 1: A friend outside of the palace, someone that will get her out and into the community. Plot tie 2: Potential love interest, not lust interest or Marica's return? Plot tie 3: People who judge her because of her line of work.
