On that, if Hamlet swapped places with i he wouldn’t be duped by any of Iago’s shit, he’d sit down & have a good think & actually examine the facts before taking action. Meanwhile in Denmark, Othello would have killed Claudius before act 2 could even start. but instead nope, they’re both in situations where their greatest strengths are totally useless and now we’ve got all these bodies to bury. |

| 5:47 am | (Per collidedscope.tumblr.com for the best summation ever) the “bad guys” in hallmark movies end up always being the most respectful men ever. because they will find out their girlfriend of 3 years (that they were about to propose to) went off to a random farm in minnesota, hours away from were the two of them built a life together, and she decided to just… stay there without even consulting him. and then he decides to take a trip to make sure she’s okay, because this is generally alarming behavior, and then sees that she literally fell in love with her ex within one (1) week- and he wasn’t there, but you can TELL that they’ve made out a couple times. and then she just strings him along for a few days, until fucking christmas eve, when she just breaks up with him and is like “i know we used to have the same values, but i’ve never loved you. mark makes me happier than you ever did. and you ONLY care about work, whereas i like christmas and fun, like a Good Person.” and then, after finding out his entire relationship was a lie and he had his life turned upside down in a week and he got dumped on christmas, this guy’s just like “ok yeah that makes sense. i only wish you the best of happiness with mark. i hope you guys build a great life together in christmastreefarmville. thank you for everything.” Anyway, enjoy SpookySzn! Recently, I've been asked if I was interested in a match against CM Punk. Yes, financially, I'd wrestle a broomstick if the cheque was the right offer. Yes, I'd "wrestle" myself if a sizeable enough custom order came through. Anyone saying they wouldn't is a pants a'fire liar. But no. I don't see a world where a one-off with him is worth it. It requires two talents to put their egos aside, and as I've been babysitting lunatics the past year plus. Or demib has been babysitting us, I'd probably question who's the bigger one. Is that an awful thing to state? Probably so. But I've made a life out of this, and sometimes you question what's the better business to do. I've stayed respectful in situations both in and out of the arenas more often than I likely should have. Unless it comes to the Ravens Football Club of Maryland who's colours we matched for a reason. Long story...well, long. I've made my name in this industry. But as long as the money's right and the layout is good enough to feature us both, sure. Lets see what it could lead to.I am concerned about who's watching at this point. There's risk and reward all around. My generation of wrestlers has seen our best years past and now we're working towards legacy and how we're remembered far more than what we're to show. Coaches. Spotlights. Mentors. Even lunatic detriments at times. In five years, when Demi is hosting the Tonight Show, she'll remember ole Ferg's lessons and hopefully do the exact opposite. When Dominik is still being booed out the buildings and grown his hair to a loathsome length, he'll think back on this time. And hopefully listen to his Pap instead. Anyway. That's the work. Circling now to "what I'm reading" and that's Lore Olympus. I'm late to the party, and an old man so I found it at Barnes and Noble, sniffed the pages and ink and dove in. And what a ride it is. The lessons are both timeless but done with very modern sensibility. The art is tremendous, and the perfect casting for Kore is a vocal fan. We're all aware of the story of Persephone/Kore and Hades, Mister and Missus of the Underworld. But the how we get here is a different Cerberus. That one, probably listen to. I'd never steer one wrong on a good read. |
