{ DAPHNE EVERGREEN WHEN THE LINE IS CROSSED I GET OFF
| THE BASICS! FULL NAME: Daphne Evergreen NICKNAMES: Daph, Queenie AGE & DOB: 21 May, 1988; Age 24 BLOODTYPE: AB+ HOMETOWN: Dartford, Kent OCCUPATION: Writer | ||
APPEARANCE! YOU DON'T KNOW THAT I KNOW YOU WATCH ME EVERY NIGHT Daphne knows she’s a pretty girl, and wants for everyone else to know it as well. She keeps her dark hair at a medium length, and won’t be seen outside of her room without flawless hair, make-up, and nails. She will use many different subtle means of standing out, such as eye-catching and occasionally dramatic jewelry. It helps that she is a tall girl, standing at 5’7”, and has never had a problem with her weight. Her face is lightly freckled, and her dark eyes often sparkle with a hint of mischief and humor. She carries herself with a certain amount of importance, all the while maintaining an air of someone who hasn’t a care in the world.
PERSONALITY! AND I JUST CAN'T RESIST THE URGE TO STAND HERE IN THE LIGHT SEXUALITY: Heterosexual. PERSONALITY: Daphne is, and always has been, a very good friend to have. It’s not simply that she’s from the right family with the right background (though she certainly is), but she appears to have all the qualities someone of her proper breeding should have. She’s witty and pleasant, well-mannered and of course, well-connected. She is fiercely loyal, and would fight to the death for someone she cares about. At the same time, she’s a horrible enemy to have. If you remove all the grooming and the veil of wit and manners, and were to look straight into what makes Daphne Daphne, she is not a good person. She’s selfish and out for herself, and doesn’t care who she has to destroy to get what she wants. She was seemingly born with a gift for manipulation, and she doesn’t care in the slightest who she hurts. In fact, she delights in winding people up and setting them off after each other, so she can watch the drama unfold. She is cold and calculated, and absolutely never forgets a slight – upon herself, or those she holds dear. SPECIAL SKILLS/ABILITIES: Classically trained pianist. Fluent in French and Italian. LIFE SKILLS: Surprisingly, Daphne can cook. When she was a little girl her mother told her that the way to a man's heart was through his stomach. Daphne took this literally, and asked the house chef - a French woman named Emeline - to teach her how to cook. To be sure, she would rather have her meals prepared for her, but she can cook for herself. She also keeps her own space tidy. Beyond that? Don't be ridiculous. If lost outside she could probably tell which way is north by the stars - but what good would that do her in the end? Unless the place she needs to get happens to be north. WEAKNESSES: STRENGTHS: GREATEST FEAR: Failure. Quite simply, failure has never been an option for Daphne. She will keep pushing and scheming until she gets her way. The problem is that she is now in a situation that is completely out of her control - even if she doesn't realize it. Daphne thinks that, as a part of Experiment B, she is safe. She is wrong. Eventually she's going to realize how not safe she is, and how she cannot control the outcome. This will be a first for her, and it will absolutely terrify her.
HISTORY! WHEN YOUR LINE IS CROSSED I GET OFF Both of Daphne’s parents came from similar wealthy backgrounds. Delaney Evergreen was the only son of one of the most well-respected doctors in Britain, and something of a lazy lady’s man in his youth. After failing far too many of his exams for his family’s liking, his father, Dermont Evergreen, informed his lay-about son that he wouldn’t see a single penny of his inheritance unless he got off his pampered arse and made something of himself. And so Delaney pulled it together – money was truly a wonderful motivator – and picked a way of life that was full of danger and excitement (and was, of course, greatly impressive to the fairer sex). After getting his act together at school, he joined the military and slowly worked his way up to intelligence. He liked to tell the ladies he was something of a real life James Bond. And all of this was greatly attractive to a woman like Dahlia Fallon. Despite being born in Britain, she had been raised in Europe most of her life. By the time she and Delaney met, she had already published her first romance novel, and was engaged to a French man her parents had deemed suitable. Dahlia and Delaney thus began a torrid affair, eventually leading to running away together. With a life like that, it’s hardly surprising she wrote erotica in her spare time. Daphne was the first child born to the newly-wedded pair, and was doted upon at every turn. She was a little queen in her parents eyes, and that never changed – not even when her younger sister, Tori, was born. The happy sisters were simply Queen Daphne and Princess Astoria, and theirs was a happy kingdom. There was a minimal amount of rivalry between the girls, and neither ever wanted for anything. The sisters truly could not have been closer, and remained close all their lives. They managed to each lead separate lives in separate circles, and yet remain best friends and partners in crime the whole way. To this day, Tori is the only person that Daphne ranks as high as herself in importance. Naturally, Daphne always did well in school. She always got great marks, and was an extremely popular girl. She loved school - not just because she truly enjoyed learning, but she loved the social aspects. The drama of high school never got boring to Daphne. She reveled in it, and never outgrew the theatrics of high school popularity. Daphne gained access to a significant trust fund when she turned eighteen, and it had been clear her entire life that she didn't need to work. She could live her entire life as a pampered heiress and no one would have a single problem with that. It was her own choice to further her education, and in the long run, follow in her mother's footsteps. Daphne studied literature in school, and had just published her first novel when she heard about the experiment. HOW THEY FOUND OUT ABOUT THE EXPERIMENT: Her editor suggested it to her. She thought it would be inspiring, and the perfect place to write her next novel. When the scientists informed her she would be part of a second experiment, Experiment B, and explained what that meaned - she was naturally thrilled. EXPERIMENT B STRATEGY: Daphne is going into this like she would any other situation. She will pull the strings from behind the scenes, while appearing to be everyone's friend. Of course, Daphne doesn't need the money, but she has no intention on letting anyone else in Experiment B know that. She will be happy to make alliances and split the money from their marks, because what she's really after is the experience. The inspiration. Daphne intends to write a novel 'loosely' based off of the Experiment, and that's all she's really after. |
