| Bio: |   Life for Pavla started without ceremony in a small Romanian town north of Bucharest to a family too poor to feed another mouth. His mother died during his birth and his father felt no shame in depositing the full lot of five children on the doorstep of the closest orphanage. Pavla's young life would have been completely devoid of love and care if not for his siblings. The five stuck together, caring for each other despite the harsh conditions. They slept in one bed, keeping each other warm, stealing clothes for each other, scrounging for food when none was provided. The conditions in the orphanage were beyond belief and the small family watched as other children starved and were beaten to death. Once Pavla's eldest brother grew old enough to attempt escape, he took the small group and led them into Bucharest where they lived on the streets. Pavla had been born small and remained a tiny thing who wore his sister's outgrown clothing. More often than not, the tiny boy had been mistaken for a female and Pavla began to enjoy the attention. For money, his sisters prostituted themselves, as did his brothers. Pavla found that by cross-dressing, he could attract a larger clientele since many of the men wanted services that did not make it mandatory for the young boy to reveal his true sexuality. The tiny boy grew to be a tiny teenager. The small boy could do little but watch as one by one his brothers and sisters contracted the dreaded disease of AIDS. Unknown to the youngest of the clan, Pavla's mutant genetic structure made him immune to the disease that seemed to run rampant in the poor country. His siblings found help at a local AIDS shelter, leaving a 15 year old Pavla to fend for himself on the mean streets of Bucharest. It was about this same time that Pavla became aware of a strange ability. once that he found most useful in eeking out a living. At times, his body could become intangible, taking the form of shadows. This odd discovery brought about a new profession for the petite boy. He became a master thief, taking only from those who could afford to lose and sharing his treasures with his ill siblings.  | |||||||||
