Though in the beginning of her life, Walburga was raised as a proper, proud Pureblooded woman. As a young girl, she was taught to give respect to elders who shared the same values as herself. To serve them tea and offer them pastries. The picture of a petite perfect hostess and wife she would be some day. That as she grew, Walburga knew to notice a new hat or frock a witch was wearing and compliment on how handsome their sons were getting. Even if they looked like toads. All with a poliet smile and air of respect. However, like all Black's, Walburga had a wicked side and often unleashed it. Though Regulus was the perfect little boy she had hoped, he was the second child, it was her eldest and heir Walburga put alot of stock in. However, we all know how that turned out. A prime example of the darkness in the witch was how Walburga tried and attempted to mold Sirius into the proper Black that he should be. Rubbing it constantly in the face of her little brother Cygnus that she bore two sons to his three daughters, but all she did. All she tried backfired. That realizing that she was losing him, decided that violence and hexes were in order to wrangle in the wayward child. That with each act of defiance and further sinking into a more Gryffindor way of life, she died inside and out, Walburga decided that that son was dead to her. And anyone else who would help him. Alphard, her brother, be damned and blasted both of their likenesses off the family Tapestry. An extreme case of how insanely dedicated she was to preserving a slowly crumbling empire. Though the state of her home was nothing to be proud of, Walburga still required others in society to meet the requirements that the witch held so dear. That even the high ranking and prestigeous Malfoy line wouldn't avoid her opinions of them. Walburga didn't like them, especially Lucius and pittied Narcissa when she learnt they were engaged. She didn't think he was altogether much like his father, but did attend the wedding and blessed them with wonderful gifts as good manners dictated. The Crabbe's were given respect since her mother was one. Weasley's and Potter's were only given her scorn and discontent.
