| Bio: |  Character you are applying as: Name: Cassandra Sandsmark Codename: Wonder Girl Age: 17 Gender: Female (Hetro) Position: Hero, currently affiliated with the Teen Titans. Former Affiliations: The Amazonian Nation, Young Justice. Character History: One day, while on vacation, Helena Sandsmark met a rather charming man who swept her off her feet. The two had a whirlwind romance that, as many vacation flings do, ended when the two parted ways at the end of the week. Helena was left with a permanent reminder of the fling: 9 months later she gave birth to a baby girl. She named the girl Cassandra, after the legendary Trojan heroine. Cassie had a happy childhood, never wanting for anything. Her mother became the curator of the Gateway City museum Amazonian exhibition and when Cassie was 13, she got to meet her hero Wonder Woman for the first time. When the menace Doomsday attacked, Cassie stole the Sandals of Hermes and Gauntlet of Atlas from Diana, which granted her the powers of speed, flight, and strength, and fought along side Wonder Woman. She fought along side Diana this way once more. Cassie’s bravery caught the attention of the Gods, and she was summoned to Olympus to meet them. Cassie boldly asked for Zeus to grant her powers of her own and he was so taken with her tenacity he granted her wish, giving her powers comparable to Wonder Woman’s but with the condition that Helena could take Cassie’s powers away to ground her. Cassie soon found her place in the superhero world by joining the group Young Justice. She made life long friends and developed a crush on her teammate Superboy. For a long time, Cassie was the public leader of the group since Robin was thought to be an urban legend and could not show up on camera. Eventually, Cassie was elected the full time team leader. She continued to grow into a capable and strong young woman, finally catching Superboy’s eye. It was during her time with YJ that Silver Swan attacked Cassie while she was at school, outing her to the world as Wonder Girl. After this happened, Cassie decided to look for her biological father. She went to Zeus, thinking he was her father but he denied it. She eventually found a very normal mundane man who admitted to being her father. She never suspected that he was actually Zeus in disguise. Young Justice teamed up with the Titans to fight a rouge Superman robot. The fight ended with Empress and Impulse being hospitalized and Lilith and the former Wonder Girl, Troia killed. Cassie took the loss of her predecessor very hard, not to mention that she couldn’t stay in a school for longer than 4 months before something would lead to her being expelled. Finally, just when she was considering quitting being a hero, Cassie was accepted to her old friend Cissie (the former Arrowette)’s school and she was invited by Victor Stone to join the new Teen Titans team. She joined only because her friends Robin and Impulse, and her sweetheart Superboy were going to be on the team as well.  It was while she was on the Titans that she was first contacted by Ares, the God of War. Ares said he wanted to help Cassie, because he saw she had the heart of a warrior, and he gave her a magic lasso that allowed her to channel Zeus mystic lightning. But as Cassie used the lasso she realized something: the lightning wasn’t just from the lasso itself, but from her. She discovered that all along, Zeus had been her father, a fact her mother had long known and concealed. Even though Superboy left the Titans after he was mind controlled by Lex Luthor, Cassie continued to see him. When the Infinite Crisis hit, she and Connor consummated their relationship. To escape the crisis, the Gods of Olympus left Earth’s plane, robbing Cassie of her powers and leaving her unable to follow Superboy to battle. Ares appeared to Cassie with a bargain: He would grant her a fraction of his own powers in return for her accepting him as her brother and acting as his champion. Desperate to not let Conner go off on his own, Cassie agreed. With a new charge of power, Cassie followed Superboy and Nightwing to the arctic to fight Alexander Luthor and Superboy-Prime, the last inhabitants of long dead universes who sought to restore the multiverse at the expense of Earth. Superboy sacrificed his own life to stop Luthor’s universe generating machine and died in Cassie’s arms. Cassie was devastated. She spent the next year looking hopelessly for a way to restore Superboy. She left the Titans and joined a Kryptonian resurrection cult for a time. When the cult was stopped, Cassie wandered on her own, not rejoining the Titans until Robin returned. Even though she doesn’t get along with Rose, and is ambivilant toward Blue Beetle, Kid Devil, and Miss Martian, Cassie is good friends with Supergirl, the two having bonded over Connor’s death. Cassie also has gotten much closer to Robin, drawn to him out of mutual grief over the loss of their best friends. Recently, Cassie has started to let go of the hope that Superboy will return and has begun to date Robin, even though she’s not sure if it’s because she truly wants Tim or because she just doesn’t want to be alone. Cassie first fought with, and then later against the Amazonian army that attacked America. With the Gods and Amazons now gone, she no longer knows her place. Her half brother Hercules says that she must step up and take the mantle of Demigoddess, but she’s not so sure. For the first time in her life, Cassie doesn’t know what to do. Physical Description: Cassie is about 5’5 with long blond hair and blue eyes. She doesn’t really think of herself as being beautiful, after all, she fights along side Wonder Woman and Donna Troy who are easily two of the most beautiful women in all of creation, but Cassie is very pretty. Though she’s never been one for the traditional “Superhero costume”, her current uniform is a tribute to Superboy: A tank top with the Amazonian Eagle crest and blue jeans with boots, just like his last uniform of a teeshirt and jeans. Recently, Cassie was gifted godly armor by her half brother Hercules, but she only wears it rarely. Wanted PB: Hayden Panettiere Strengths: Powered by the magic of the Gods of Olympus, Cassie has a number of powers including: Flight, super strength (Enough to catch a crashing jumbo jet), enhanced speed, Ability to deflect bullets with magic bracelets, Extreme durability which borders on invulnerability, Magic lasso powered by Zeus’ Lightning. Recently has been in power flux, since the source of her power shifted from Zeus to Ares. Her powers did not change with the transfer, but the levels at which they operated and how she connects with them did. Before the shift, Cassie’s powers operated on a balanced level, but afterward bouts of strong emotions like anger, rage, and hatred tend to give her a boost. Technically, Cassie herself is a demigod and is eligible for one day attaining full godhood, though her realm of control has not been decided since she is so young. Weaknesses: Overly emotional, Powers flux and she doesn’t have complete control over them. One could argue that the source of the powers, her God of War half brother Ares, makes them a weakness in themselves. Also, simply being a hormonal 17 year old girl could be seen as a weakness.
