Name: Whitney Kaitlin Greene Age: Played-By: Aimee Teegarden AIM: color me whitney Date of Birth: April 10, 1987 History: Whitney Kaitlin Greene was born on April 10, 1988 in the town of Forks, Washington. From the very beginning she was a bright and energetic little girl, a ray of sunshine in the Greene household. Her mother, who was a florist, would let her go out and play in the large garden in the back of their house. That was why whenever she came back inside her father, who worked at the bank, would say that she smelled just like roses, or violets or freesias, depending on the flowers she'd been playing by that day. The two parents loved their daughter more than anything and wanted her to grow up to be optimistic and happy no matter what. They showered her in love and affection. It was a lifestyle that any child would be lucky to have. She was playful and fun-loving as a little girl. Friends weren't hard for her to make. She would always make a habit of walking up to someone she didn't know almost every day and saying hello to introduce herself. In her eyes, you couldn't possibly have too many friends. Most of her time was spent on playdates and whatnot growing up, but that didn't mean she was never alone with her parents. On the contrary. Lilian took every opportunity to teach her daughter about flowers and gardening. It was her passion, and soon that enthusiasm for flowers rubbed off on Whitney. She'd go to school almost every day with a small, freshly cut boquet from her mother's large gardens. One by one she would hand them out to her friends and teachers if only to put smiles on their faces. It was no secret that Whitney was good at making friends, but it was also apparent that she made them laugh. She had this tiny quirk of being a tad clumsy. She could walk a straight line and everything, but every once in a while she tripped over nothing or fell flat on her face. But people didn't make fun of her for it, they just laughed with her when she laughed it off. That combined with her sometimes corny humor got her the early label of the adoreable dork. Which, apparently, wasn't a bad thing since it didn't cost her any friends. By the time high school rolled around, she knew most of the people she would be going to school with. The majority were longtime childhood friends. At age 14, she didn't feel like the socially awkward freshman. Sure, she wasn't the prettiest or most popular girl at school, but she did have friends who made that transition from middle schol easier to bear. She was happy letting the popular girls take the lead. It didn't much matter to her. She was perfectly happy sticking to her circle of friends who liked her for who she was and not what she looked like or gossiped about. They liked her for her, adoreable dork and all. Like every other girl in the school, Whitney was intrigued by the oh so perfect Cullen family that transferred in from Alaska. They were so different...so much more interesting than all of the other typical small town kids. And, even if she didn't want to sound like all of the lovestruck girls in her grade, the Cullen guys were hot. However, Emmett and Jasper were already taken. And even though Edward, the youngest, wasn't, the chances that he would even give the time of day to a girl like her were what? A million to one. So she just contented herself with watching. She coasted through school, getting average grades and hanging out with her friends, but somehow she always had time for the family garden and a newly acquired interest in video games, animes and mangas (adorable dorky girl, remember?). Everything was just normal, but when Bella Swan came into their school, everything changed. The whole town was automatically interested in her. Naturally, Whitney was as well, but she wasn't as close to all of the girls who made up her little group of friends. She did talk to the girl once or twice in the halls, a friendly hello or how's it going, but the two weren't best friends. Before the end of her high school career, Mr. and Mrs. Greene decided to have another baby. It was an unexpected decision, but it couldn't have made Whitney happier. Her little sister Ashley was born two months into her senior year and she adored the baby girl more than anything. It made her happy to see her little sister laugh and she did her best to keep that smile on the little girl's face. Once high school was over, Whitney took to the family garden to occupy her time. That and her video games and animanga. While all of her friends were making plans to go off far away to school, it was most likely going to be Washington State University for her. She just wanted to enjoy her time without pencils and books and work. Really, who wouldn't? Family: Lilian Greene - mother Arthur Greene - father Ashley Greene - baby sister Husband-to-be - Paul Hania Personality: Whitney can easily be described as dorky in a cute way. She's slightly clumsy, as everyone who knows her knows, and has hobbies that aren't the typical high school girl's (a.k.a. anime, manga, videogames, etc). This combined with her love for goofing off, her mostly corny sense of humor, and her ability to be one of the guys as well as one of the girls got her the label of adorkable. It's not something she's ashamed of. Actually, it just encourages her to be herself more. And if people don't like that, well tough. Because that's Whitney. She's one of those girls you always know will do their thing and not care the least bit about what other people think about it. Nothing wrong with loving who you are, right? She is a good friend and is loyal. Kind of like a puppy at times. The fact of the matter is, once you have her, you most likely won't lose her. Even if people aren't her friends, she treats them nicely. Chances are, an introduction from her will follow a little afterward. Because, according to her, friends are something that you can't possibly have too many of. Spread the love! And somehow she manages to be a friend to everyone and not treat some different than others or give one more attention than another. Open-minded as she is, she's open to having as many different kinds of friends as there are under the sun. Unlike some of the other girls from her school, the "mean girls" so to speak, Whitney won't turn someone away just because they're not lke everyone else. Her philosophy is that we weren't all made from a cookie cutter. We're supposed to be different, and far be it for her to snub someone just because they aren't the smartest, or prettiest or most popular. Who cares? She's different too. Kind and caring she definitely is. When you have a problem, Whitney is one of those people that won't mind giving a shoulder to cry on or providing some friendly advice. She likes to make the people around her happy. Smiling is the best medicine and all that. Actually, it takes a lot to get this girl down. Some find it annoying and some find it endearing. Doesn't really matter what others think because it isn't as if she would ever change who she is. |
