Description: Linus is tall, and slim, with dark brown, curly hair. He has a soft, youthful appearance. Because he has an excellent metabolism he stays trim, the only work out he gets is from riding his bike (which he does all the time) so his legs are quite nice.

Myth
Personality: In myth Anteros is depicted as the opposite to Eros. He was an obedient and loyal attendant to Aphrodite. However, he has a playful and soft demeanor. Unlike his brother, Eros, he does not relish in the love pangs of mortals, instead it is a source of discomfort and anger on Anteros’s part. Despite being very different from Eros, Anteros is eternally loyal to his brother, more so than anyone. After all he was -given- to the god of love who was suffering from loneliness.

Linus is a romantic, though he doesn't like to let on to the fact. He has a healthy sexual appetite, meaning he enjoys it, even if he doesn't often get to have sex. He is polite and charming, but has little friends, the only people ever close to him being his father, his current roommate, and old flame Cecelia.

Biographical
Myth:According to the myth, Anteros is the son of Aphrodite and Ares. He was given to the lonely Eros as a playmate, the thinking being that love must be answered if it is to prosper. When he isn't avenging, he is serving Aphrodite, or playing with his brothers.
Before the Coup of Cronus: Since love was still not being returned in the mortal world, there were still people to scorn, so Anteros kept to his job.
During the Coup: Anteros sided with his mother and brothers. He was not terribly thrilled about the fight, but as he was loyal to Aphrodite; her cause was his cause. If he needed to use his arrows as a weapon, in an extreme situation he would.

Mortal:Linus is the son of William and Josephine Stevens. His father William is a partner in a big law firm in Seattle, and his mother a waitress.

When Linus was seven his parents divorced, Linus knew he was not the reason, in fact he knew it was his mother. Linus could not remember when he realized his mother did not love his father, but he knew she did not. He had no idea she was seeing other men, but now when he thinks about it, she probably was. She was remarried to a plastic surgeon within a year after the divorce. For these reasons, Linus resented his mother, only visiting her at the request of his father, who was still in love. Josephine did not seem to mine Linus’s visits becoming less frequent as the years passed.

At the sweet age of ten, Linus’s father remarried, which came as a complete shock. He knew his father had been dating but to think he would get married was impossible, he was still in love with Linus’s mother after all. Linus remembers asking his dad why he remarried, his reply was: “To give my son a good mother.” Linus wondered if he had ever seemed lonely, or sad from missing out on his mother. He was not even able to feel grateful toward his father, instead he was angry, how could someone marry without love?

His new stepmother, Cynthia was indeed a good mother, she did after all have four girls of her own, that she had been raising alone before moving in with Linus’s father. Her previous husband had died overseas during military service. Not surprisingly she was almost ten years older than his father. Linus never hated her, he felt bad for her though, she was completely smitten by his father. He wished he could force his father to love her… anything he could do. After this, he was never close to his father, and still isn’t. He has never been close to his stepmother.

Linus’s new sisters were nice enough, though they never really included Linus in their activities. He didn’t think they disliked him; after all he was never rude or mean to any of them. His oldest step-sister, Cecelia, was the only one ever noticed him, but as much as he ever loved her, Linus could only hate her now.

Throughout school Linus was always popular. He had many acquaintances; he couldn’t count any of these people as friends. He could read these people like books, all of them only attracted to Linus for his popularity, which was a result of his looks, at least Linus assumed, since not a single one of them knew about his interests.

When Linus was seventeen, and a junior in high school, his oldest sister, Cecelia, had called on him to help her with work. She was an independent filmmaker, and asked him to act. Linus remembers spending several days trying to please his sister, excited now that any of them had taken an interest in him. It was hopeless, he was terrible at acting, but to make up for his failure, he found the best man for the job he could. After that he began helping Cecelia frequently, consequently falling in love with her, and her job, realizing he too wanted to become a film maker.

In the summer of his senior year Linus purchased the best camera he could, with the money he had saved up from working as an assistant in his father’s office, this being the only reason he had taken a job. He was going to surprise Cecelia for her twenty-sixth birthday.

Of course she was thrilled about the gift, this only made Linus more confident. That was the day he lost his virginity, it happened so fast, but that didn’t matter, he loved her and she loved him. After that the two started seeing each other more, though at the request of his stepsister he was to never tell anyone about the relationship. Although Linus should have been suspicious, his love stricken mind only assumed it was because she was afraid of their parents finding out.

Linus was accepted into film school the following year, much to his father’s dismay. His father had hoped he would follow in his footsteps, but Linus never had any desire to become a lawyer. By this time Linus had started questioning his relationship with Cecelia. Linus never paid attention what was wrong with his relationship with Cecelia, but lately it was all that bothered his mind, they never dated, and almost always ended up in bed together. Linus, like most of the men his age had a healthy appetite for sex, but he did not like feeling used. Her heart had closed to him, but then he wondered if it was ever open to begin with.

Not surprisingly he soon caught her in the arms of another man, in their spot, a spot he didn’t think she would take anyone, it was the spot where she had made him a man. Linus forgave her, after all he was still in love, but then it happened again. Now he understood what it meant to have a broken heart, how his father must have felt, or how his stepmother felt now.

Even if Linus had wanted to forgive her, Cecelia ended it, she told him the words that he was most afraid of, “I don’t love you Linus, I never did.” He couldn’t believe it was possible for people to be so cold, so heartless. How was it possible for her to lie for so long.

Despite his broken heart, he followed his dream of becoming a filmmaker, and attended UCLA’s school of film. Those years went fast, now that Linus looks back. He made very little friends, and dated very little. He was obsessed with his studies, or at least that is how he distracted himself. For the most part, his schooling was a blur.

Now at twenty-four, Linus is making short-films still, his camera is glued to him wherever he goes. To expand his knowledge in film he has recently taken a job as a director’s assistant. He was lucky to get a well known one too. Now he is happier, enjoying his work, and hopeful that he will be a great filmmaker one day. When he isn’t on location with his director he shares an apartment with his close friend from school, the theatre student Nathan.

What has your character dreamed or felt and thought of it?:Linus has had dreams of flight, sometimes he has wings, and sometimes he doesn’t. Even more recently, he has been dreaming of murdering Cecelia, well at least he thinks so. He never actually sees her die, and there is no blood. The dreams are horrible nonetheless.
