{ SAM WINCHESTER CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON there'll be peace when you are done
NICKNAMES: Sam, Sammy, Geek Boy, Sasquatch BLACKPOINT ALIAS: Sam Wesson CURRENT AGE: 28 DATE OF BIRTH: May 2, 1983 PLACE OF BIRTH: Kansas MARITAL STATUS: Single SEXUALITY: Heterosexual OCCUPATION: Paralegal CURRENT RESIDENCE: Sigma House LOCATION: Honolulu STATUS: Private DATE OF ARRIVAL: 01/02/2012 UNIVERSE: Supernatural CANON POINT: 5.01 PB: Jared Padalecki PLAYER: Jach EMAIL: hugbutton@gmail.com TIME ZONE: PST | personality CARRY ON, YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER. _______________________________ Sam is a nice guy. He has a sort of boy-next-door charm to him, despite the fact that he was raised (as he says) like a warrior. He was raised to be hard and tough, and he was- to an extent. He knew how to be a good soldier, but from even the earliest of ages, Sam knew he wanted more. Sam has a natural curiosity and independence that both serve him well and get him into trouble. He's very intelligent and has a healthy thirst for knowledge. He likes learning about things just for the sake of learning them. It's fun for him. He's also smart enough to know that knowledge can often be a very powerful weapon, so he learns whatever he can and stores it away. He's introspective and thoughtful, and while in certain situations he's prone to reacting with his emotions, he generally tries to take a step back and look at things logically. He's not very extroverted. On the quiet side, Sam is mild-tempered and easy-going. Like I said, he's a nice guy. When his life allows it, he's very laid back and mellow. The kind of guy people like having around because he's relaxed and easy to be around. He's compassionate, and genuinely listens to people when they talk. He's friendly and sweet. Being the youngest, Sam does have a tendency to act childish at times. He also has a bit of an entitlement complex. Which isn't entirely his fault. He grew up with an older brother who constantly sacrificed for him. He doesn't do it out of selfishness, it's just what he's come to expect out of life. He started getting a little bit better at that while he was dating Jessica, but bad habits began creeping back in again when he went on the road with Dean again. While he can be pretty relaxed about a lot of things, Sam can also be stubborn as all hell. He will argue his point for as long as he feels like he has to, and can get emotional and angry when someone refuses to see things from his point of view. He's also a little bit of a grudge-holder. But overall, Sam's a good guy. He's brave, loyal, smart, and has a good heart. He's just had a hard life, and all he really wants is just to be safe and normal. |
special skills CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON. THERE'LL BE PEACE WHEN YOU ARE DONE. _______________________________ Sam's strongest abilities are his fighting skills. He's trained in hand-to-hand combat, and is proficient with weapons- mostly guns and knives. He can pick locks and can hack a computer. He's also begun experiencing prophetic dreams and one instance of telekinesis.
personal history LAY YOUR WEARY HEAD TO REST. DON'T YOU CRY NO MORE. _______________________________ Sam Winchester had a nice normal life. For the first six months after he was born. Then everything went to hell. In the middle of the night when he was six months old, Sam was visited by a demon named Azazel. The demon dripped some of his blood into Sam's mouth, and his blood mixes with Sam's. However, Azazel is spotted by Sam's mother, Mary, and he pins her to the ceiling before setting her on fire. Sam's father, John, arrived in the nursery just in time to see his wife go up in flames. He gave baby Sam to his older brother Dean and told him to get out of the house. The three male Winchesters made it out of the house, but Mary died in the blaze, leaving John with two sons and a scary obsession with finding out what happened to his wife. The next eight years of Sam's life consisted of a lot of secrets. John discovered that Mary had been killed by a demon and became a hunter. He traveled everywhere hunting Azazel and any other demon he came across. He'd be gone for weeks at a time, leaving Sam and Dean on their own more often than not. It was because of this that Sam and Dean became so close. Dean was the one constant Sam had in his life. He was the one who could always be counted on to take care of him. For a time, Sam believed that their mother died in a car accident. But on Christmas Eve he discovered John's journal and confronted Dean about it. Dean told him the truth, that supernatural beings existed, that one had killed their mother, and that their dad hunted them. And that was pretty much when Sam's life lost it's last shreds of normalcy. As John learned more about demons and the supernatural world, he passed the knowledge onto his sons. He trained them to be hunters and hunting demons became the family business. But Sam held onto to his hope that one day things could be normal for him again. When he turned 18, he told his dad that he'd been accepted at Standford University, and he was planning on attending. He and John fought bitterly over it, and John told Sam that if he planned to leave, that he should stay gone. Angry and upset, but finally free, Sam left his dad and brother and left for school. His family didn't exactly have a bunch of money under the couch cushions, so Sam took out student loans to pay his tuition. He also took a job working in the University library. At school, Sam finally found the normalcy he'd always craved. He studied his ass off and got excellent grades. He worked a normal boring job. He made friends, went to parties, and fell in love. He met Jessica Moore at a mutual friend's party and the two seemed to hit it off pretty well. But afterward he totally chickened out and didn't call her. So Jessica had to stalk him after class one day and asked HIM out, because he's a big baby. And they went out, and it was terrible. But they decided to give it another go. So they went out again. AND IT WAS EVEN WORSE. But the third date they finally got it right. After that they started spending a lot of time together. He even went home with her to meet her parents, but he always kept his own family and upbringing a secret from her. He couldn't bring himself to tell her everything he'd been through. So, he lied. A few weeks later, when her roommate moved out, Jess asked Sam to move in with her, and he did. And they fought and bickered and laughed and fell even more in love. It was awesome. At least it was up until the night Dean that showed up in their apartment. Dean informed Sam that their dad had left on a hunting trip and had disappeared. Sam resisted leaving with him to find John. He had his life, complete with girlfriend and a law school interview waiting for him. But eventually he relented and made his excuses to Jessica before leaving with his brother. They tracked their dad to the city he'd been working a job in, and found his journal, but no sign of him. They worked together to defeat an angry spirit known as a Woman In White, pulling Sam back into his old life for just a moment. But even though they didn't find John, Sam insisted he needed to get back for his interview. He arrived home late that night in time to witness Jessica die, pinned to the ceiling in flames exactly the way his mother had. Jessica's death spurred Sam to rejoin with his brother so they could find their dad and the demon that had killed both their mother and Jess. Their search led them all over the country where they fought demons, spirits, and all sorts of other angry supernatural entities. Along the way, Sam started suffering from precognitive visions that he doesn't understand. After tracking down a gun made by Samuel Colt with the power to kill any demon, Sam and Dean finally cross paths with their father. They battle a demon in Salvation, Iowa and both Dean and John were injured. Sam was driving them to the hospital when he saw the headlights of a massive truck heading straight for them. He arrived in Hawaii seconds before the impact. *Note: On 06.26.13 Sam was canon bumped to the beginning of season five. |
