Update
Suddenly, I became very busy; it was one of those things that just snuck up on me. I went from just bumming around to promoting, ‘Afterwards,’ and ‘The Hurt Locker’. Both have premiered overseas. ‘Afterwards opens here in January; while ‘Locker’ is being held off so it will be ready for Oscar contention. My part is small, honestly I was honored I was asked to be a part of this Indie film am proud of the work everyone did in making the great film I think it is. You’ll have to tell me what you think once you see it. Getting back into the ‘swing’ of things if you will is good; of course the Season 5 poster is out. I do love traveling, but there is a certain satisfaction in working. This season offers as many questions as it does answers. Art imitates life, at least mine does; just as the show adds more twists, turns and complications so does my personal life.
It hasn’t been all work. Running into Dom at the Toronto film festival was nice. Everyone thought it was orchestrated and we planned, which isn’t true. Maybe I should back step and clarify that once we knew we were both going to be there, we did spend time together. I don’t think if you’ve ever cared about someone that you quit caring about them, at least not if it ended on a positive note. He has been and always will be a dear friend. At this point, that’s all we are and have been for quite awhile. To anyone who really knows him, he remains close ties to people he cares about. This time of year, I always think about Dom and Vig, they gave me my first real taste of the American Thanksgiving tradition.
Halloween, I spent watching Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Believe’ featuring Chris Angel. Even in my lame costume, he was such a flirt. Each season as a cast we have fewer and fewer scenes with everyone, most of the time the ensembles are now much smaller. Michelle was on set, but I won’t spill if it was a visit or part of the show.
As for romance, it’s not in the cards today, but maybe tomorrow. Who knows?
So for anyone who does read this, that’s what I’ve been up to, or at least a quick overview.
Aloha
