Ever feel like the world has some great big joke that you aren't in on yet?
Or that maybe you are the only sane person in an insane world?
Alright so putting it that way may actually make it sound more like I am the insane one...not sure that I like that idea either...
How about we add a re-do button to life? Not like a re-do the last 30years or something but just a simple few hours? Would that be so bad?

Today has just been one of those day if I am being honest. One of those days? Oh yeah a day from hell. A day that will live in infamy, a day pretty much like any other. So, this year started out great! I rekindled an old friendship, got myself a third (part-time) job, and someone (someone very awesome!) is lending me the use of their carriage house-apartment-thingie until I can get back up on feet and afford my own living arrangements.
That is about all the good I got. ( Long winded explanation of shitty week, that ends in my ultimate demise and lands me on a weekends worth of bed rest )

It's a new year....why are so many people hating on love and marriage and stuff? I mean I am a gay man living in the south. I think if anyone has a right to bitch and moan about this kinda stuff it's me and others like me right? And people who just went through break up cause well, we've all been there before right?
Anyway, I guess this is just more of a vent than anything insightful. It just seems everywhere I look or read lately everyone is all...Love is a lie, marriage is just a system of control, and it's all shit. When did everything turn so damn dark and shitty?
Maybe I am just the odd optimist? The lone dreamer?
Love is real. Anyone who has ever felt it knows that it's real. Does love last, I can't really say, but I do feel once you love someone, even if the relationship falls apart...there is still love there somewhere. I'm not saying things will end smoothy, or that if they didn't you were never in love, but come on...tell me I am wrong. Tell me there isn't that ex or former whatever out there that you fell in love with and you no longer have even one good memory of your time with them....
Love is amazingly wonderful and down right evil and painful all at the same time often enough.
Love isn't easy, it's complex because we are all complex beings...just how it goes. And now I am going to get off my soap box for a while and head to work.

Today has been a busy day getting little stuffed moved in here and there to my new residency. (Thanks again Jaci, Jay, and everyone else who helped me find and/or loaned me a temporary place.) Anyway, I went on a little break before getting ready for the club and just surfed the net. I actually planned on looking up some stuff and being evil to Kiernan, but I got sidetracked.
WIKIHOW IS CREEPY AS FUCK!
Pardon my harsh language, but Jesus the stuff the write up in there...damn. I have a whole bunch I could comment on, but I think I will stick with the friends comments.
Yes Kiernan apparently needs me to prove that I am a good friend. Yeah what is that about...only supposing I am a good friend. I am a great friend and wikihow has shown me the way. Yes they break everything down into steps.
Steps to being a good friend
-Be Real.
-Be Honest.
-Be Loyal.
-Be Respectful.
-Be Supportive.
-Step Back.
-Be Forgiving.
-Deepen Your Friendship.
Now what disturbs me is the fact that they have a section marked step back. Step back? Really do we need to make a special point to remind people not to be stalkers? And then they go on to give warnings. WARNINGS? REALLY?
The best however is the warning that reads: Never start a fight or a big argument because you're bored. Who the hell does that? Why on earth would you want to start a fight with someone you care about just because you are bored? Heck how many people start a fight with anyone just cause they are bored? And then, they make a big deal to point out a friend doesn't get jealous of their other friend's friends. Well duh! I mean are these really things that we need to be reminded of or taught? Like my God how stupid does the internet think we all are? Or...how stupid are we that there needs to be a web page to teach us how to be good friends?
Anyway, just want to sum up...being a good friend is common sense...you treat your friend the way you would want them to treat you. DUH!
And for the record, Kiernan...I am a damn good friend! The best friend, (cause I follow all the wikihow tips.)
