Name: Dinah Laurel Lance Age: 27 Fandom: DC Comics Point In Fandom Taken From: After she moves to Star City Job/Title in Fandom: Vigilante / Florist Alignment: Good Brief History: Dinah Lance was born into a family of crime fighters: her father Larry Lance, was a detective for the Gotham City Police and her mother was the vigilante known as the original Black Canary. When Dinah was just nineteen years old, she decided to become a crime-fighter herself, taking on her mother's costume and identity as the Black Canary. Unlike her mother, however, Dinah was made into a metahuman due to a curse placed upon her at childhood by the Wizard, she developed a 'Canary Cry'. The "Canary Cry" is a high powered, super sonic scream with the ability to shatter objects and incapacitate villains. The woman is also an expert martial artist, specializing in hand to hand combat, especially Judo. Dinah's abilities also include being an expert motorcyclist, able to perform stunts that would easily qualify her to participate as an entertainer in the sport. As the Black Canary, her costume includes black pirate boots, a heavy leather jacket, flexible bodysuit and trademark fishnet stockings. After starting her crime fighting in Gotham City and encountering the Bat Crew, Dinah eventually relocated herself to Star City where she opened up a flower shop named “Sherwood Florist,” in honor of her mother’s. It was here she would meet up with Oliver Queen (the Green Arrow) and continue her vigilantism.
