You know, it’s weird. That actually looked like the uniforms McNairy Central used to have. They somehow beat us out of the state championship my junior year by a tenth of a point even though we won the awards for marching and musicality. Completely unfair, since it was pretty much due to their overload of electronics with using microphones for their soloists and sticking electric guitar and other stuff that just didn’t fit into their pit. It would have been nice to at least be beaten by someone with originality since fields shows based on Holst The Planets were way overdone a few years after the Cavaliers won world with one in 1995. But oh well. Guess I’m still a little bitter about that one.
