Brief Summary: Stephanie Barker is number four in her class, and it drives her absolutely insane. She is a classic work-a-holic who has spent her teenage years worrying much more about the future than the present. She has spent her high school years trying to push past the top three, to no avail, and is slowly learning to cope with the fact that she’ll never be number one. Stephanie is the sort of girl who does her best to be friendly, but because of her ambitions, several people have come to view her as unapproachable. In reality, Stephanie doesn’t think herself above people, and is often confused when people describe her as ‘intimidating’. Really, Stephanie wants to be accepted, but she hasn’t figured out exactly how to accomplish that.

Brief Summary: Stephanie’s parents were killed in a car accident when she was seven years old. Nine years younger than her older brother, she latched on to Vincent for support, and the two grew to be extremely close as they were placed into the custody of their aunt, Elizabeth West. After two years of suffering through their aunt’s annoying regime, Vincent moved out of the house into his own apartment. Though she was, at first, extremely angry with her older brother for what she considered his abandoning her, she soon came to realize it would have happened sooner or later, and the two remained in close contact. Much of her time has been dedicated to school work and community service, both to get accepted into college and to distract her from how suffocating she found her aunt’s home. Now that she has turned eighteen and is no longer forced to stay with Elizabeth, Stephanie is moving out, though she plans to continue her high school education, of course.
