IN CHARACTER name/nicknames: Abigail Reece Davies....Abby, Abs, Ace... age/year: 17/Seventh birthday: Feb. 14th family: Mother: Katie Bell, Father: Roger Davies, Brother: Jason Davies (19) history:
Abigail grew up in a close knit family. Her parents were always supportive of whatever she wanted to do and her brother always stood by her side, no matter what. Having two magical parents made life a bit more interesting in the Davies' house. Katie and Roger used magic freely around the house and so both children realized their gifts at a very young age. Abby's first act of magic occured when she was only three years old. She made a carrot fly from the counter, where her mother had placed it, all the way across the kitchen to her. Katie watched the events unfold with great enjoyment while Roger, who had been reading the Daily Prophet at the time, fell off his chair in astonishment, while Jason's reaction was to walk over to the counter, grab another carrot, and give it to his sister in a way of saying 'Well done'.
Katie had given both of her children brooms one Christmas against Roger's protests that they were too young (Jason was 6, Abby was 4). Abby took to the broom fast and instantly fell in love, while Jason struggled and soon gave up in favor of watching and cheering on his little sister. Abigail was a natural chaser just like both of her parents. She joined the house team in her second year at Hogwarts and became Captain in her fifth. Her family was very proud of her. In fact, Jason would cheer for her every game, even if they were playing Gryffindor!
Katie and Roger always tried to keep the house a safe and peaceful place for their children, though they knew at some point their kids would be on their own and would need to know how to defend themselves, especially if Voldemort and the Death Eaters were going to be around. Luckily they never had to face Voldemort himself but the children learned martial arts just the same. They went to muggle schools for defense before they went to Hogwarts. Katie and Roger also taught them as much magical defenses as they could even though they weren't allowed to do magic yet. The two Davies' kids grew up strong and protective. It wasn't a surprise to hear that Abby and Jason had been sent to the Principal's office for fighting (well, Abby for fighting and Jason for coming in to protect her). This only happened for a few years when the kids were still young and learning when they should or should not fight, though Abby always remained confrontational. Abigail learned to control her temper more and more as she got older and by the time she went to Hogwarts she had focused all that pent up energy into her studies and quidditch. Overall the Davies' family were more of a loving bunch rather than a bunch of haters.
house: Ravenclaw personality:
Abigail is a compulsive liar, though she even lies about that most of the time, too. It is a very compelling trait to have, at least that's how Abby sees it. This trait makes her an impressive actress, making it fairly easy for her to talk her way in or out of almost any situation. Sarcasm is Abby's favorite form of speech. She is not a goody-goody, in fact, it is sometimes hard for Abby to keep herself out of trouble. She has the nasty habit of getting herself and her friends into troublesome positions, but she always manages to get them out of harms way before anything gets too serious. She is always willing to take the fall instead of one of her friends, even if she didn't do anything wrong. She is incredibly loyal to her friends and very easy going most of the time. Abby loves to laugh and have fun, but she can have quite a temper, as well. As long as you stay on her good side, you won't have a problem.
Abigail is extremely passionate about quidditch, hence her post as captain of the Ravenclaw team which she has held since her fifth year at Hogwarts. Her favorite subject is Transfiguration, followed very closely by Charms, though she excels in all of her classes. Abby only has one fear, and that is a fear of anyone she cares about dying, including herself, though she keeps this fear hidden. She prefers to tell everyone that she is fearless, and they believe her (mostly because she never shows them reason to believe otherwise). Her favorite pastimes (other than hanging out with her friends) are to fly/play quidditch and read. She's still not sure what she wants to do with her life after Hogwarts but Quidditch is always a possibility. She always dreamt of seeing the world and she intends to do so before settling down.
appearance: Abigail is a rather short girl, standing at 5'2", but you wouldn't know it by her personality (She believes she is invincible and will never back down from a challenge/fight). She has blonde hair and a thin, athletic build. She could kick your ass if she really wanted too. played-by: Kristen Bell writing example: Dear Jason,
I hope all is well at work. Mum tells me you had some trouble with training last week. She said you couldn't disguise yourself well enough to be 'up to par'. Is that true? You know, if there's ever a time to ask your baby sister for help this would be it. Don't worry, you'll be an auror in no time.
Love you,
Abby
P.S. Give Mum and Dad each a kiss from me, will you? Thanks.
Abigail rolled up the small piece of parchment and carefully attached it to the leg of a tawny Hogwarts owl. The owl hooted softly as it took off into the misty morning air. Abigail didn't bother to stay and watch it fly away. Instead she turned and glided deftly down the spiral stairs that led to the owlry. She whistled to no particular tune as she walked slowly back to the Ravenclaw dormitory. It was a Sunday morning....there was no reason to rush. Nobody else seemed to be awake yet which made Abby wonder what time it really was. Looking down at her wrist she realized that she had forgotten to put her watch on this morning. She drew her wand and with a silent flick of her wrist the watch appeared on her left wrist. 6:22 At least that explained the empty halls.
"Quite impressive, Miss Davies." Abigail thought she might have been wrong about the empty halls but as she turned she noticed that the hushed voice had come from a picture on the wall rather than another student or professor.
"Why thank you, Lord Kensington. It took me quite a long time to get it to close correctly. Is Lady Kensington still asleep?" Abigail made sure she spoke in a whisper just as Lord Kensington had.
"Yes. She spent all of last night drinking with the ladies in the North Tower. Fell asleep the moment she got back, poor dear. I thought I'd go on a hunt before she 'woke."
Abigail smiled and noticed the long rifle the Lord had slung over his left shoulder. She waved and whispered a quick "good luck" before setting off for the Ravenclaw common room again. During her walk Abby tried to figure out a good way to keep herself busy today. She passed a window and noticed that the sun had come up a bit more and now showed the prospect of a clear and warm day. Abby grinned as she figured out her next plan for the day.
