'63: Little sister Blair is born. She is showered with love from everyone. Cue the beginning of middle child syndrome. '67: Older brother Grant begins Hogwarts. He is sorted into Slytherin, and their father couldn't be more thrilled. October '72: Reid is worried that he will not receive a letter to go to Hogwarts, and will bring shame upon his family. He still hadn't shown signs of magic. He was kind of freaking out. September '72: The night before his 11th birthday, Reid used magic for the first time when he made every door in the house slam shut because he could hear his Mum and Dad fighting from down the hall. He woke up to an Owl pecking at his window, an acceptance letter to Hogwarts held between its beak. September '73: Begins life at Hogwarts. Nervous af that he won't be sorted into Slytherin, but he didn't let it show around the other to-be students in his cabin on the Hogwarts Express. He gets sorted into the snake's house, but only after the hat contemplated throwing him in Ravenclaw. He never told anyone about that. This is also the year Reid found out he had cousin. He soon learned the truth about his hidden relative, Willa Montague, and her excommunicated squib father - his uncle. When people would ask Reid if he was related to Willa, their tone indicating they wanted nothing to do him if he shared blood with her, he'd quickly deny it. He was never kind to her during their stay at Hogwarts, because as an adolescent boy, his friends' opinion meant more to him than Willa. He had a bitterness towards her - she was nothing more to him than a blotch on their family tree, one he had studied backwards and forwards. He had sat through enough of his father's lectures of keeping their bloodline pure to not be agitated by Willa's wispy presence. She wasn't supposed to exist, according to everything he had ever been taut. '75: His father swears allegiance to the Death Eaters and their cause, and his brother is branded with the Dark Mark. His sister Blair is sorted into Slytherin. '80 Graduates from Hogwarts. This is also the year his brother is given the position of CFO for Bewitching, and this overshadows Reid's ability to make it through 7 years of school (with stellar grades, no less). With his brother taking on the role of the golden boy, and his sister being the darling baby, Reid reaches a point where he doesn't think it matters what he does, because in his eyes he already had the perfect son in Grant - his eldest heir. Cue the beginning of honey badger phase. '83 Honey badger phase comes to an unexpected halt. Sloane appoints Reid as editor-in-chief at Bewitched - a test, to see if his son could actually do anything useful, other than spend his money (his father's exact words).
