Basic Information Full Name: Aidan Michael Lynch Nickname: Age // Birthdate: 32 // March 7, 1972. Blood: Pure Residence: Flagstaff House, St George Wharf, Vauxhall, London Wand: Pear with Unicorn Core, Fourteen and a half inches, hard Occupation: Former Quidditch player, looking for something part time Hogwarts House // Year of graduation Ravenclaw // 1990 Appearance General: Aidan has a 2-inch scar that runs just under his hairline on the right side of his forehead. This was from a childhood accident. He also has another on the underside of his chin that goes along his jawline that's about 3.5 inches. Height // Build: 6'1" // Athletic Hair // Eyes: Light brown // blue PB: Michael Weatherly Personality First Meeting: One would wonder if he really is always happy as he is almost always smiling, most of the time it's a wide, forced smile (mainly to keep nosy, bored reporters from publishing rubbish about him) as his normal smile isn't so big. 9 times out of ten, he probably is that happy. He rarely shows his somber side in public. Sexuality: Straight. General: Aidan loves/loved being a Quidditch player and can ham it up like anyone, but once he's not around the crowds, he has no problem just sitting back and watching the world around him. He has no problem not being the center of attention. He wouldn't admit it to a lot of folks, but he's a serious bookworm. He loves to read, mainly fiction of any genre... except those muggle romance novels. He doesn't like to classify those as books. Often enough, if he's late for something it's probably because he got caught up reading and lost track of the time. He was a Ravenclaw, after all. He's great with puzzles that require a lot of logic, but if he was to be put in a maze, he'd just cut holes in the walls to get out. Aidan would consider himself a minor troublemaker if around a couple of friends and former teammates. They never did anything terrible, but the manager threatened to suspend them several times (Aidan thought he was all talk anyway). Hobbies: Quidditch. Reading. Wandering about historical Muggle locations. History Childhood: Aidan is the first born child of Heather and Michael Lynch, and the definite leader of the 5 children they did have. Michael knew from the time his son could walk, he'd be a great Quidditch player. Perhaps that was just a father's dream, though. Although he enjoyed playing Quidditch, he never thought he'd play on a house team while in school. He enjoyed his studies, but took on the dare from one of his friends to try out. Who knew that he'd make it? Aidan showed great talent both on the field and off. He was one of a handful of N.E.W.T level Arithmancy students in his 6th and 7th year. Aidan prides himself on his knowledge of Arithmancy (and other subjects) and as a back up career, should he had ever permanently injured himself, would have taught Arithmancy. He keeps up with groups that are into the subject and has tutored the children of friends on occasion. To this day he remains close to all his siblings, but has a special bond with his two closest in age siblings, Sasha and Andrew. Aidan would consider Sasha his closest sibling, knowing he can be open and honest about anything that crosses his mind. He knows he can trust Andrew to some extent, but there had been times where Andrew relayed something to their parents Aidan didn't want them knowing about. His two youngest sisters, Hannah and Emily, came along several years after Andrew was born and he felt there was always a slight generational gap between them. Aidan loves them and will defend them with his life, but the closeness he feels with his other sister and brother is stronger. Adulthood: What has your character been doing since they left Hogwarts? Before completing Hogwarts in 1990, Aidan tried out for several Quidditch teams, only to be turned down time and time again. It wasn't until a year later, in 1991, that the Kenmare Kestrals picked him up and the real fun began. Lynch, unlike most Quidditch players, stayed with the Kestrals his entire career, with the exception of joining the Irish national team in 1993 to prepare for the Quidditch World Cup (which they won, thankyouverymuch). He retired from the Kestrals in 2003 after a particularly nasty accident. Aidan has never been married, although honestly he's never looked too terribly hard into marriage though. In the past he had long term relationships but never felt the desire to propose. He isn't against marriage; he see's how much his parents love each other and still make their marriage interesting, he just simply hasn't found the one person that connects with him on several levels. Miscellaneous List three random facts about your character: 1. He likes to tell people that the scar on his head was from a childhood broomstick accident. It wasn't. He and his sister got into a fight one day as children and she threw a vase at him. 2. He hates jell-o and gummy foods. It's a texture thing. 3. He has 4 siblings: Sasha is 32 (she just had a birthday and as a child, enjoyed gloating about being the same age as her brother for a month), married with two kids and pregnant with twins, Andrew is 28. Hannah is 18. Emily is 16. Social life: Aidan has a handful of close friends, but rarely sees them do to work schedules and where they live. He has lots of acquaintances and well wishers from his Quidditch days. Community involvement: Aidan would like to get involved with the pub quiz. He also tutors for Arithmancy, if needed, and gives Quidditch tips and tricks for kids. He has thought about teaching the art of quidditch to kids if he ever bought some land in a rural area, similar to that of a day camp. Not that it came as a surprise to a lot of people after that last accident with the Catapults. Seeing all that blood was horrific for both me and everyone involved. I hated to quit. But I had a great run. Maybe now I can focus on other things. I don't know what other things, but I'll figure it out in due time. Maybe I can get married. Or get a dog. Yeah, I think I'll get a dog. Manager said I could come back anytime I wanted to. I want to go back now. I didn't think I'd miss it this much. But at least I'm still alive. It seemed pretty touch and go. I've got *another* scar now. This time it's not as visible. I've read so many books while recovering. I think I'll go harass Fin. I haven't seen him in ages.
