Unshakeable. Alex has heard it about a thousand times in different ways, and it usually turns up the corner of her mouth. Without question - Alex is confident. Has been since high school. She's known exactly who she is and what she wants. Those things of course, have changed as she's aged, but once she comes to terms with it - if she wants it, she goes out to get it. And when she turns it on, it can sometimes be a little intimidating. With friends and family however, that hardened sureness breaks down, almost as though it's a bit of a façade. Sometimes knowing what she wants takes a lot time. Sometimes figuring it out means changing her mind. And when that happens, she's known to pick up and run.
APPEARANCE
Strong features, in particular, what has been described to her as sensual full lips, and hooded bedroom eyes, Alex is classically pretty, styling her hair usually as a bright blonde. Her hair is usually kept in loose waves that come to at minimum her shoulders, though she is no stranger to experimenting with her hair either. She is very aware of how she looks, and will often use that to her advantage, batting her eyes before cutting someone off at the knees. Casually, she's a mix of comfort and fashion. Plaid skirts have been traded for oversized plaid shirts that seem to drip off her curves, fitted tees and well-worn blue jeans. She is no stranger to DYI and thrifting and making something her own. Alex never really enjoyed conforming to what everyone expected of her.Not that there was anything wrong with them those expectations - she just felt as though there was more to life than that. She made friends there throughout the different cliques, but knew that there was much more to life after high school. More to life after college as well. College was a bit of a pause at most. An liberal arts degree with a minor in art history, Alex found herself post-grad with a lot of hopes for the future, however a bit more of a travel bug under her skin. She'd done a semester abroad and loved it, and decided that perhaps taking a job outside of her hometown - or even her home state was the way to go. She bounced around from city to city, job to job, not really finding what she loved or wanted. What she did love was finding something new. Something exciting and unexpected. Despite her degree she's massively underemployed working at a thrift shop. She's not necessarily looking for that big break into her field -- what even is that field anyway? She'd just looking to enjoy her youth and enjoy where she has landed before she figures out her next big move.
