  • Fandom: Harry Potter
  • Character Name: Alicia Helen Spinnet-Pucey (formerly Fawley) née Spinnet
  • Race (Human/Witch/Jedi/etc): Witch

  • Gender: Female

  • Affiliation(s): Gryffindor ’96, Chaser – Gryffindor House Team, Dumbledor’s Army
  • Family:
    • Children:
      • Twins Isla and Liam Spinnet-Pucey (formerly Fawley) (b. 14. December 1998)
      • Sebastian Spinnet-Pucey (b. 3. March 2006)
    • Parents:

    • Sibling:
      • Sam (Hufflepuff, b. 1976)
      • Nigel (Ravenclaw, b. 1976, d. 1998)

  • Personality: Although Alicia is capable of thinking practically, she does have a bit of the average Gryffindor's black/white image of the world. There are good people, there are bad people, and she doesn't really know what to do with the people in between. That usually results in those grey-shade people being perceived as good, until they do something bad, at which point it will take a lot of work for them to end up on the good side again.

Being a Gryffindor Taurean, Alicia has a pragmatic streak that grounds her and manifests itself in patience and practicality before charging off to duel windmills. Said patience, however, does have its limits, and if pushed hard enough she does have a rather volcanic temper, though once it's released, she gets everything out at once and as such her explosions are just that: short-term and all immediate.
  • First Impression: Generally, Alicia is a friendly and kind person who – with an easy smile – loves to meet new people.
  • Strengths and weaknesses: Alicia is of the more practical thinking variety of Gryffindors, but she is still passionate, and when she feels, she feels deeply. That in itself is a strength, of course, but as it has led to several let downs and a broken heart on more than one occasion, she sees it as a weakness. That being said, feeling numb like she did after her husband and brother was killed is something that scares her more than feeling too much does.

The deep feelings, be it love or hate or anything in between has made her incredibly loyal, and sometimes to a fault. While it may take a while to get close enough for her to truly see you as a friend, she'll need a lot of convincing and proof to give up on that. Sometimes too much, and she still feels a fool for the times she stood up for people who didn't deserve it.

  • Personal History: Alicia was born in Bath (Somerset, UK) to Darren and Helena Spinnet, two years after her brothers – twins Sam and Nigel. Both she and her brothers were raised as Muggles – attending regular school and learning to do things without relying on magic – as they and their father were the only wizard-folk in their extended family

At 11, Alicia went to Hogwarts, was sorted into Gryffindor and made fast friends with her Housemates, and though she was a proud Gryffindor, she had no problems associating with other Houses, though when it came to Quidditch, it was Gryffindor, and Gryffindor only; she was fully intent on becoming a professional Quidditch player.

Things changed, though. Her last year at Hogwarts, when it was clear to everybody that a war was now inevitable, Alicia saw that Healers would be more useful than Quidditch players, and with that, her focus changed: If she couldn’t be a professional Quidditch player, she would be the best possible Healer that she could be.

Whether it was her talents on the Pitch or her brother Nigel – now a starting Beater for Pride of Portree – who convinced the trainer, Alicia doesn’t know. But the fact is, that she was invited to try out for her favourite team, potentially earning her a spot on the team next to her brother. Obviously, Alicia accepted the invitation, but rather than show off her skills on the Pitch, she launched into a speech on why she ought to be taken on as an Apprentice Healer with the teams Medical Team.

Alicia finished Hogwarts, with an invitation to try out for Pride of Portree and enough N.E.W.T.s to begin training as a Healer in the summer of 1996.

When the try outs for Pride of Portree began, Alicia showed up. She didn't seek out the coach, though; she sought out the team's primary Healer. After a long conversation turned interview, she accepted the position of Trainee Healer for Pride of Portree.

This was where she met Daniel Fawley, the youngest son of the Fawley family, the owners of Pride of Portree. The two married in December 1997 after the war had turned the PoP Medical Team into an underground Healing facility and shown the two how precious life was.

Married bliss was short. Too short. To this day, Alicia still don't know why Daniel and her brother Nigel went out that evening, but it doesn't change the fact that on the evening of April 25, 1998, the two of them were killed when they encountered a group of Snatchers. Numb with grief Alicia went through the motions, though she doesn't recall much from the days that passed after that, though she knows she attended the funerals – she's seen the pictures – not until the evening when her DA Galleon alerted her to the fact, that there was a call for help from Hogwarts. For the first time since she got the news of her husband and brother, she knew what she had to do and where she had to be, and it was almost cathartic feeling anxious about an upcoming fight rather than the numbness that was holding the reality of her grief at bay.

Alicia got through the battle relatively unharmed. Like her friends, she had fought hard before she had gone to the Great Hall to begin treating the injured, a task that kept her busy around the clock pretty much for the entirety of the following weeks. Aside from a few gashes in her arm, the only true harm she had suffered was seeing more people she loved and cared for killed. At first she felt as if she was drowning, until she was physically pulled away to tend to the injured survivors, something she would continue doing for the days to come, until everybody was deemed stable.

For the first time Alicia truly felt the pain of her loss, though with the mutual help and support of her family and friends, it began getting easier to breathe again. That small bit of peace, of course, lasted only a couple of weeks until a visit from one of her colleagues lead to a simple diagnostic spell being cast: Alicia was pregnant.

On December 14, 1998, one year after she married Daniel and two weeks before her due date, Alicia gave birth to the two most beautiful and important people in her life: Isla and Liam.

With the birth of the children of their deceased son, Mrs. Fawley set up a foundation in his name in order to provide any kind of support and stability needed to orphans of the war and their caretakers and Alicia was named the co-founder, a role she took to heart.

Stubborn though she is, Alicia weren’t too proud to accept any and all help and support she was offered. She had inherited a huge sum of money from Daniel and hired a nanny to help with the twins. She was a single parent, but she never felt alone.

In 2001, Alicia happened upon former Quidditch rival and Potions class partner Adrian Pucey. What had started out as a bit of a neighbourly dispute turned into the resurrection of their old friendship, a friendship that grew stronger and somehow, they ended up dating.

Alicia finished her Healer training in early 2003, six months later than planned. In the two years that followed, she split her work hours between the Pride of Portree Healer staff and The Fawley Foundation. It was hard, but it was satisfying, and yet she still dreamed of honing her skills as a Healer. So, in 2004, she took a sabbatical from Pride of Portree and cut down her hours with the foundation to only include the absolutely most necessary and enrolled the physiotherapist program at King's College in London.

A good year into her new training, Alicia found herself pregnant. Not planned, but not unwanted or unwelcomed either. Adrian had proposed a couple of years earlier, but the time for a wedding just hadn’t been right, and now? Did they really need a wedding? Turned out they didn’t. With only the twins and the nannies as witnesses, Alicia and Adrian were married on 10. August 2005, in a quiet ceremony at the Ministry of Magic. They celebrated by going for ice cream afterwards. That evening, they filled out the paperwork for Adrian to adopt the twins.

The adoption went through in October that year, and on 3. March 2006, they welcomed Sebastian Spinnet-Pucey.

Alicia has just recently finished her training as a physiotherapist and is now working with a handful of other specialists to get the Diagon Clinic for Health and Rehabilitation ready for opening later this summer.
