In addition to Dr Jennings' post, I would like to add that there are a variety of staff in the medical centre, including those of us who have been in the position of being an inferiore ourselves in the past. If you feel uncomfortable with a particular professional, you can, and should, be able to ask to see someone else, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Thank you, Ana, for posting this.

I left my own comment for Dr. Jennings but I do not think he will understand. He can be cruel himself. I have seen what he has done to another. I am surprised he cannot see that.

Thank you, again.

I don't want people making themselves worse by avoiding medical staff.

I'm sure he can be cruel, although I don't know any details. He is a good doctor though, despite his rant, and I don't think he would act unprofessionally with any students who come to the clinic for help. Did you know he was an inferiore himself?

Dr. Jennings was an inferiore? How could he do the things he has done then?

Lena, my roommate before, she was given to him over an auction week. She was very hurt by him. He traumatized her. She had trouble sleeping and didn't want to be alone.

I offered her my room in the superiore building for a while so she could feel safe.

I am sure he is very professional but knowing what I know about him, I would never feel safe going to him. I can understand if others wouldn't either.

I don't know, and I don't care to delve into his psyche. I'm sorry he hurt your friend though, and I can understand the hesitance to visit him in those circumstances. That is why I felt it important to write this post.

I'm an inferiore and still others of the same status treat me with no respect when I'm trying to take care of them. Sometimes I don't even think they care what level of power you have.

When you're in as much pain as some of the superiore here cause, no one gives two shits about your status or whether you've done right or wrong. It's basic instinct to lash out when you're wounded, to go into defensive mode.

Are you really that surprised?

That's what I pretty much said in a nutshell. I never said I was surprised.

How is this that different to working in the hospital? It seems to me to not be so much an inferiore thing, as a scared patient thing. I'm merely pointing out that if trouble can be avoided by seeing someone else, it may be a better option. It's no excuse for assaulting us, Dr Jennings is right in that. Personally I wouldn't hesitate in letting him look after me or my family, and I have no doubts that he is a talented and professional doctor, no matter what stories there may be of what he does in his own time.

I was not saying anything of the sort. I'd allow Dr. Jennings to take care of even when I've come down with the flu. I'd recommend him to anyone who is in need of medical attention because he is that good at what he does. I was merely saying as an inferiore, those who come in for the medical help see me as another punching bag. I don't even think they'd care to ask for a specific nurse or doctor.

That is something else that needs addressing. It doesn't matter if you're an inferiore, they should face the same consequences for taking things out on you as they would with me or anyone else, and if it happens, tell me. My post was more directed towards the ones who don't even come in because they are scared of seeing a certain person or do not want treating by them. I'd hate to think people are not being seen for things they should be.

If something ever goes beyond verbal abuse, I'll be sure to address the matter to either you or Isaac. Understandable, Ana. I do hope those who need the help see your post on the board and do finally come in to seek anyone who is available to assist them. If there are some students, even staff, who need to be treated, I myself will do what I can to help.

Having been an Inferiore myself is part of what makes me act in nothing less than a professional manner in the office. There were many times the doctors who treated me could have taken advantage of me, but they didn't. I respected that. I assume that's the same treatment that the students of this school, regardless of status, desire.

As you said, Ana, we have a large staff. Several nurses, two doctors, and many medical interns. No one here will be hurt if a patient specifies they don't want a particular person to treat them. Yes, sometimes a patient may come in who might want to see someone who isn't there, but it's not so bad to choose someone else.
