Leave it to Jilli to swap shoes with complete strangers and sit at a table with people who would now probably think she was pregnant. Of course, there was a good bit of humor in that should you really think about it. They'd never even kissed. Heck, he'd never even thought about kissing Jillian Belmont until she posted that Twitter thing and all hell broke loose. He had to admit, she'd turned into a very attractive young woman. He occasionally felt the need to slap himself because .. well, there was a ten year age gap between them. People would think he was a cradle robber or something. Not that he really cared what other people thought, but still! Obviously, if he cared, he wouldn't be singing songs about having babies with a woman he'd never even kissed.
Which really only reminded him that he had, almost, promised to give that whole kissing thing a try. He momentarily wondered if kissing her hand would count or if she would try and rape him at some given point throughtout the night. Glancing around as he finished, he was barely paying attention to the Backstreet Boy reference until the younger of the Belmonts was leaping out of her seat and clinging to him by the neck. A loud, surprised laugh left his lips as one arm moved easily around her body.
Man, was she tiny. The thought slipped into his head as his arm curled around her waist, his hand gripping the opposite him as his forearm pushed at the small of her back, bringing her in close. He was slightly bent forward while she kept her own arms around him, speaking into his ear. The laughter softened away, leaving a smile on his freshly shaven face. He had showered and shaved before coming to the club tonight, leaving him smelling of soap and aftershave. He wasn't really a brand name type of buyer, so both were generic makes and yet they smelled just as good as the more expensive counterparts. His aftershave was strong, but nowhere near as bold as say .. Old Spice.
He hadn't been entirely sure what to wear to this thing so he'd let Ami help him pick out an outfit, something he did often because she got a kick out of getting to help him out. She kept asking if he was going on a date and he kept telling her no because, in honesty, he wasn't. Or, he didn't see it as such, despite being oddly glad at seeing Jilli there. The outfit Ami helped him pick out was rather on the casual side. A pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a plaid button-down left undone, the colors consisting of medium blue, gray, and white. Plain old sneakers finished the outfit off because, aside from at work when he wasn't allowed to wear them, Asher didn't go anywhere without his sneakers.
"I'm going to try and take that as a compliment. Even though you just compared me to a member of a boy band." He laughed again, his hand loosening it's grip though he was liking the feel of hers on the back of his neck. Taking a low breath, his fingers slid along her back before he lowered his hand away and waited for her to let him go.
