Jillian dumped her key chain into the endless pit of her bag and jiggled the door knob for additional confirmation that she had secured the premises in a satisfactory fashion. But she hadn't and realized this after only taking a couple of steps. " Aw, man. One second. " She'd held up an index finger quickly retracing her steps and explaining over her shoulder. " I forgot to set the alarm. It's this new system. Not the one that was here when I living here. I forgot to put it on twice already. " She rummaged blindly through the designer bag for a few seconds, retrieving everything but her keys and then crouched on the front step to open it wide and sort of dump some of the continents out. She shook her head. " I can never find anything in this thing but it's so pretty and black and sleek and sophisticated. I can't get rid of it. And it comes in handy. Cause even though I can't ever find what I want, I know that I have it. It's comforting in a bizza-- oop, here it is. " Holding up the keys in triumph she unlocked the door and disappeared back inside to flip open the small alarm box placed on the wall behind the door. Pressing in the code, she activated it and headed back outside narrowly avoiding tripping over Lola in the process. " Okay. Now, I'm really ready. " Scooping up the remainder of her things back into her bag then she exhaled dramatically, collected her thoughts and resumed conversation as if nothing had interrupted it.
" Thanks. " Both for the compliment and the flower which she extended her hand to accept while heading to his car at a leisurely like pace -- not ahead or behind but not exactly precisely in step with him. " It's Dani's outfit. So, if you happen to see her wearing the same thing don't be like.. " Jillian has the same outfit " cause she'll know I ..borrowed it. " Jillian didn't know how often Asher and her sister saw each other or even that he was paying attention enough to what she was wearing to be able to recognize it later on but it wasn't out the realm of possibility that he could and he might. She had her own clothes and her own money to buy said clothes but there was just something about her sister that made her outfits seem infinity cooler. No matter how old, she got, Jillian suspected that there would always be a part of her that wanted to be just like Danielle. But because she'd never admit that, she did what she did best and attempted to justify her sneaky tactic's. " It's not even like she bought it. She gets so much free swag it's ridiculous. Screenplay writers get jack. I mean I got a t-shirt from Comic Con but that's so not the same as free jeans worth hundred's of dollars. " She snickered a little at herself at the ridiculousness of her statement. Somewhere and not too far away, some child was going to bed hungry and things such as hundred dollar denim actually existed. What a world, Hollywood was.
