Name. Audrey Grace Macmillan Nicknames. Addie Age. 23 Birthdate. January 12, 1977 Blood status. Quarter-veela Sexual orientation. Straight Relationship status. Single Wand. 12 inches, Ebony and unicorn tail hair Residence. 54 Diagon Alley Social Class. Middle Class |
Height. 5'2 Build. Slim Hair. Red Eyes. Green Scars. None Tattoos. None Dress. Audrey always looks stylish and trendy, and is often mistaken for a snob or a bitch because of this. Her mother owns and runs two clothing boutiques (one in Paris and one in London) which is where Audrey gets most of her clothes, shoes and jewellery. Having grown up in this environment, dressing well and accessorising comes naturally to Audrey, and isn't something she spends much time thinking about. Therefore it often looks like she puts more effort into her appearance than she actually does. That is not to say that Audrey doesn't take pride in her appearance or enjoy looking good. She definitely does. But at times it can be mistaken for a level of vanity that does not exist. PB. Jane Aldridge |
Mother. Monique Macmillan [nee Guérin; 48] Father. Graham Macmillan [50] Sister. Amélie ? [nee Macmillan; 26ish] Brother-in-law. ? Nieces? [Louis Weasley is the only known male Veela, when he is born] Other family. Ernie Macmillan [cousin], Fleur Weasley [cousin], Gabrielle Delacour [cousin] Audrey and her family are close. She enjoys her parents company more now that she is an adult and living on her own than she did when she was a teenager. Her sister is lovely and she adores her, though she does drive her a bit crazy with her overprotectiveness. She frequently drops by her mother's shop and it is rare that a day goes by that she does not check in with one or both of her parents, just because she loves them, not out of obligation. |
School. Beauxbatons School Years. 1988-1995 House. Vaillance |
Flat. Two-bedroom standard (with a roommate) Audrey wishes she was a frequent visitor to the spa! She will sporadically get a massage or a facial when she has some spare time, but what she doesn't ever miss is her hair appointments. Every six weeks like clockwork she visits the spa for a trim, and never ever misses an appointment. Her hair is her crowning glory, after all. Bedroom. |
Job title. Personal Assistant Since. 1997 Previous jobs. Intern with the French Ministry of Magic. Receptionist at a B&B just outside London. Audrey tries to always be professional when she is working, and as a personal assistant, she is flexible, easy to get along with, and more importantly, reliable! She does whatever it takes to get the job done for her employer, whatever they are asking of her, and has developed a list of contacts around the wizarding world (both in London and Paris) along the way that she can call on as needed. Will add more detail to this once she has an employer in game! |
5 words that describe your character. The Romantic Girl Next Door. Audrey comes across as a very ordinary young woman, typically rushed as her job keeps her very busy, but always with a smile and a kind word for everyone she meets. She can be a bit of a chatterbox, filling empty silences with random comments at times, though she certainly knows when to be quiet during more solemn occasions. She likes to talk, and enjoys getting to know people and can deliver a seemingly endless stream of small talk. Dig a little deeper and there is a layer of insecurity that she covers up well with her display of confidence. Audrey doesn't have all the answers. She doesn't even have most of them, she just happens to have the ones her boss requires. When it comes to her own life, she often feels like she needs her own assistant, to provide the guidance she needs. Or maybe what she needs is someone skilled at divination to reassure her that her life truly will turn out as she hopes. Or at least warn her not to get her hopes up. Audrey is a very capable, determined young woman. She knows how to get what she needs in order to do her job, and knows that the best way to catch flies is with honey. There is no sense in making things more difficult when a smile and a little flirtation can smooth things over and make things easier. Audrey is a social butterfly who enjoys going out and having fun with her friends. She isn't so much a fan of simply going out and drinking, but likes to have another activity happening at the same time. Whether that's dancing, trivia nights, bingo, pool, or anything else, she doesn't mind. The best nights, in her opinion, involve a little competition, a lot of flirting, and a lot of laughing. Likes. Men, good coffee, chocolate, relaxing, spa treatments, nail polish, fashion, being busy, bright colours, being happy, being French, having what she is reliably told is a "sexy as hell accent", cousins, family, croissants, shopping, achieving goals, doing her job well, trivia nights, going out, dancing, winning things. Dislikes. Cruelty, intolerance, heartbreak, being single, cleaning, peas, broccoli, green vegetables in general, being cooped up inside for too long, men who won't take no for an answer, being underestimated. |
Secrets. - Audrey worries that she is already in danger of being left on the shelf at 23. All of the women in her family have found love young, and Audrey took for granted that it would happen for her too, but somehow it hasn't. It's not something she likes to talk about, but she worries about it late at night. She doesn't want to have to use her veela powers to get a husband, but that doesn't stop her sometimes considering the idea sometimes. - She has a thing for buff Quidditch players, but she doesn't discriminate. - She is jealous of Fleur and Amélie for having the life that she wants and having husbands who adores them. Gossip. Nothing is off limits with Audrey. |
Audrey is the second child of Monique and Graham Macmillan. The couple met when Graham was assigned to the British Embassy in Paris as the magical cultural attache. Monique Guérin worked in the French Ministry of Magic and one day their paths crossed quite unexpectedly. Graham was given the wrong directions to the conference room and ended up at Monique's desk. He was quite taken with the young half-veela girl, and after his meeting, he returned to her desk to ask her to dinner. After a whirlwind courtship ending in a very out of character proposal that left his family reeling, Graham and Monique were engaged. They married within a year and settled into Graham's flat in Paris. Monique preferred to stay close to her family, and Graham preferred to keep his wife happy. They celebrated their second wedding anniversary not long before the birth of their first child, a girl they named Amélie, after Monique's mother. Monique's sister, Apolline, was married when Amélie was a year old, and within a couple of years the two sisters were pregnant at the same time. Whether they planned it like that or it was a wonderful coincidence, the sisters have never admitted. That they both had girls thrilled them both, and their daughters, Fleur and Audrey, grew up to be as close as the sisters themselves. When Audrey was a little girl, her mother decided that being a stay at home mother wasn't enough for her, but she didn't want to return to the Ministry either, so she decided to open a boutique. This shop stocked high end women's clothing, shoes and accessories and quickly developed a following among fashionable women. Monique had always had an effortless style that many longed to emulate, and she passed this on to her daughter. Much of Audrey's childhood was spent with her mother at the boutique, and as they grew more successful, the family moved from the flat into a townhouse with a small courtyard in the back that opened onto a shared park for the residents living in the surrounding townhouses. Audrey was thrilled by the move, and the fact that the Delacours lived in one of the houses adjoining the park which made it so easy to visit her cousins. During this time, her father's British family was growing, and more cousins were being born, and the French contingent visited once a year. Audrey loved her British grandparents, and greatly enjoyed receiving care packages from them over the years, particularly once she started school at Beauxbatons. Audrey and Fleur started school at the same time, though they were sorted into different houses. Audrey's social circle expanded, and she did well in her classes. The worst year was the last, when Fleur was chosen as one of the contingent taken across to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. When Audrey heard that her name had actually been selected by the Goblet of Fire, she was horrified. Of course it was a great honour, but people had died in that tournament! It was even worse not being there, and Audrey wished many times that she had been selected for the trip too. School finally finished and Fleur returned home, with news of her decision to return to England to work on her English. Audrey's own English was rather basic at the time, as French was the main language spoken at home, though her father had taught her some of his own language. When Fleur left, Audrey was sorry to see her go, but it wasn't until several months later that she decided to join her cousin. Audrey had gotten a job working as an intern at the French Ministry of Magic, which certainly wasn't a job she was attached to. It was boring, and hardly a challenge. After discussing things with Fleur, Audrey decided that spending more time in her father's country, getting to know her British family and expanding her English was a good idea, so she said goodbye to her family and moved to London. Her first job was working as a receptionist for a wizarding Bed & Breakfast just outside of London, which wasn't ideal, but it paid the bills while she looked for something she really wanted to do. [Add in more detail here about becoming a personal assistant once things have been decided in game.] That her cousin met and married an Englishman so soon didn't seem strange at all to Audrey. After all, that was how things were for the women in their family. Their mothers had done the same thing, and Audrey expected a baby to soon follow. She dearly hopes for the same thing to happen for her soon, so she and Fleur can have babies at the same time, just as their mothers did. For now, her career keeps her busy, and she isn't one to dwell on what might be. When the 54 Diagon Alley building was announced, Audrey's mother, Monique, decided that if her daughter and niece were going to live in England (and her husband clearly wasn't going to object to spending more time in his home country) then she would open another branch of her shop in this new, exciting building. Monique is still based in Paris, but frequently visits her store in Diagon Alley to ensure that the standard of service and quality of products available remains the same in each country. |
First Person Journal Entry. I am in LOVE! ![]() Look at how beautiful they are! I can't wait for warmer weather so I can show them off. I know what you're thinking. Redheads shouldn't wear pink. Do not believe this terrible lie! You can wear anything you like, no matter what anyone says. All you need is confidence. |
- I'd love for her to work for someone in game. - Failed romance? Doomed from the start for some reason? - Maybe something going on with Percy? I'm also fine if this doesn't happen. - A roommate would be awesome. - Something scandalous maybe... - I'm really open to anything. |
