Alright, so I found no indication that your system was hacked. A good hacker does know how to cover their tracks, but I tend to use some rather unique code for that very reason, and it doesn't look to have been disturbed or rewritten or anything. I think someone in the police chief or mayor's offices found some info and had a big mouth.

Of course, that doesn't mean you weren't hacked. I'm just 99% sure you weren't. The thing is that I'm one of the best at what I do, but I could build the best system the world had ever seen, but there are a few people who could get past it without a trace. Sort of like Sarah Vale at school. She could waltz in and never leave a trace that she was there. Of course, said person would have to know that there's a system there to be hacked.

I think with all the insanity going on in Chicago that I may make it out on the second and third as planned. I'll keep you posted.

Well hey, I'm glad that it's at least 99% certain that we weren't hacked.

Never can be 100% though.

Still, it makes me feel 99% better about the security of the computer systems.

It'll be better when I finish all the upgrades, but I don't seriously think anyone hacked it.

Nothing's ever certain, true. But 99%...at least that's somewhat good news. Unfortunately the simplest explanation is usually the true one, so we probably are looking at something local and far less impressive than a dedicated hack job. Thanks for all your hard work here, Doug. I know we've been putting a lot on you this week.

When you're an X-man I guess Occam's Razor is the exception rather than the rule.

Very true. When you deal with people possessing the powers and abilities that we encounter on a regular basis, the easy solution can sometimes not be the first one to come to mind...

Exactly I think it's local. It's not he knew the security codes or anything.

Problem is that Juggernaut doesn't exactly need security codes when he can destroy the whole place Yes, I definitely agree with you on that. I'd be interested in finding the leak, of course, though I don't know that it'll be possible short of getting it out of Marko himself. It's probably also not practical to pretend that this sort of thing can't happen. About all we can do is try to be more proactive and vigilant on our end.

Exactly. I mean the only other option is to not tell local law enforcement or mayor's offices that we're there, and that'd be even MORE trouble than it's worth.

You take the time you need.

We have a 'situation' going on at HQ at the moment. So just give me a head's up and and we can have Davis pick you up and I'll debrief you.

We'll take 99%-- sure is better than the 0% we were at before.

Thanks, Dougie. ♥ You're a prince.
