Age/Date of Birth: 15 / September 7, 2980 A.D. Place of Birth: Central City, Missouri Current Residence: Metropolis, Delaware /Manchester, Alabama Occupation: Student
Physicals PB: Caleb Landry Jones Appearance:Bart Allen
Abilities Strengths: Superhuman Speed, Access to the Speed Force. Due to Bart's access to the Speed Force, he is granted several other powers that come from his interaction with the Speed Force such as accelerated healing, decelerated aging, energy construct creation, increased perceptions, infinite mass punch, phasing, self-sustenance, sharing the force, Speed Force aura (pants made of Goes Fast), supercharged brain activity, superhuman endurance, super speed speaking, vortex creation and the ability to steal speed from other speedsters. Unlike other speedsters, Bart can read at super speed and still retain the information. He has a photographic memory. He is fluent in both English and Interlac. Weaknesses Bart is extremely impulsive, and while he is a bright kid, he can never keep his grades up in school due to his "A.D.H.D." as his teachers would describe it. He also has a very hard time knowing when to shut up, and is socially awkward; particularly around girls. Bart tends not to assert himself in group situations, he would rather stand back and crack wise until everyone gets along again, which usually gets him in trouble more often than not. Although he prefers to let others make the important, responsible, adult-like decisions, Bart truly does have strong convictions and- if pushed by persons or circumstances- will stand up for what he thinks is right, even if it's not the popular choice. Whenever he gets in a sticky, Bart always thinks about his Grampa Barry and acts how he thinks Barry would have acted in the same position.
Personality Bart is adventurous and mischievous as well as impulsive. He likes jokes (even bad ones) and can't ever stop himself from sharing them. However, Bart is extremely dedicated and idolizes his Grandpa Barry, hoping to one day grow up and be the Flash, just like him.
Background Bart is the son of Don Allen (Barry Allen's son) and Meloni Thawne (Professor Zoom's daughter). Bart has a half-brother, Owen Mercer (the off-spring of Meloni Thawne and Digger Harkness, Captain Boomerang) and a clone, Thaddeus Thawne (aka Inertia). Bart's father and his aunt (Dawn Allen) were killed by the Dominators, a group hired by Bart's maternal grandfather, World President Eobard Thawne, during Bart's early childhood. Thawne then kidnapped Bart and raised him in virtual reality.
Because he was born with his grandfather's super speed, Bart aged quickly. By the time he was 2 years old, he appeared to be 12, but due to the virtual reality system he grew up in, he aged as quickly mentally as he did physically. Bart was in danger of dying before he reached the biological age of ten. He was saved by his Grandmother Iris Allen who stole him back from Earthgov and President Thawne, then took him back in time to meet the second Flash, Wally West, who taught him how to control his speed and metabolism.
Due to his impulsive nature (commented upon by both Wally West and Batman, whom Bart also idolizes), Bart adopted the alias of Impulse and began to fight crime. He eventually took on the mantle of Kid Flash, a title once held by Wally West. He currently resides in Manchester, Alabama with Max Mercury, the Speed Force Guru, so that he can learn how to control both his powers and himself in order to someday become the Flash yadayadayada. Other Did you read the rules? yap What's the character limit? 5; 6 w/CRIMINAL What would you like to do with the character? Hang out with the Flash Family, hang out with the X-Men, run places, fight crimes. I'd also like to see Bart slowly start to grow out of his impulsiveness into a true hero. How do you think the character can be integrated with the other universe? Oh Man, Bart would LOVE the Avengers and he'd want to talk to them ALL DAY ALL THE TIME PLEASE. Also the X-Men, he'd want to go to their school and make friends and help them fight crimes and ooo the Fantastic Four he could totally grow up and help them. But not SHIELD. They scare him more than a little.
Writing Sample Bart stood in Max's laboratory, staring at the projector screen. Max had gone to all the trouble of getting it out of storage and putting in slides, insisting that it was better for the boy to learn from slides than from flash cards and he had just the projector to do it on. Bart was impatient and his foot kept tapping a mile a minute (literally) on the floor. The tapping stopped for a whole 20 seconds though, which put Max on edge.
"What are you doing, Bart?"
"I just rearranged all the slides."
Max sighed and shook his head, "As long as you know them all, I don't care what order they're in. Are you ready to begin?"
"Aww maaan do we have to?"
"You've got a world history test coming up tomorrow and you haven't studied at all. You're already failing that class, let's at least try to bring that grade up. Now, pay attention."
Bart heaved a heavy sigh and rolled his eyes a little but stood by to watch the slides.
"Harry Truman."
"Very good, Bart. Next?"
"Doris Day."
"Good."
"Red China. Johnnie Ray."
"Excellent, I'm very impressed."
"South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio."
Max cocked his head slightly-- something was off here. It wasn't that he doubted the Bart knew all of these slides, but there was something about the intense stare he had started giving the screen and the grin that was beginning to burst across his face. Could it be that he was actually enjoying his lesson? No... no it couldn't be that.
"Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television. North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe."
Okay. Max got it, something was seriously up. He began to click through the projector faster, trying to put his finger on what exactly it was that was giving him this feeling that he'd heard these names in this same order before...
Bart kept up.
"Rosenbergs, H-bomb, Sugar Ray, Panmunjom, Brando, 'The King and I' and 'The Catcher in the Rye'."
Bart began to grin even wider and suddenly it hit Max where he knew this from... but it was too late. Far, far too late.
"Eisenhower, vaccine, England's got a new queen, Marciano, Liberace, Santayana goodbye!" Bart suddenly began running around the lab at top speed, throwing his arms widely in the air, his static-y hair standing in every direction with little bolts of static electricity coursing over his skin. "WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE. IT WAS ALWAYSBURNINGSINCETHEWORLD'SBEENTURNING. WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE. NO,WEDIDN'TLIGHTITBUTWETRIEDTOFIGHTIT."
When Max finally caught sight of him again, Bart was standing on one of the work benches, doing the moon walk.
"I think... I think that's enough for today." Max said, dropping his head and shaking it as Bart continued to sing and flip through the projections.
