Bella Whelan discovered her powers at the age of 12, when, while stressed out by her parents arguing violently, somehow caused them both to instantly calm down, giving both the kind of drugged effect one would get when smoking marijuana.
A bit of a child prodigy, she'd been a natural at piano, drums, and violin, although she eventually lost her interest in violin.
She's a bit of a smart-ass, but has a loving, nurturing heart. She'd been sent to live with her aunt after a tragedy caused the death of both of her parents, which was where she was when the gem sent her to Galador.
