I've been thinking. What you should probably do is start making lists of environmental factors. Which reserves are near cities, what the pollution levels are like, what's found in air, flora and fauna and ground samples. You should probably find a Squib or a Wizard who works in a Muggle lab and have them analyse things. Also send them blood samples if you can. They can probably analyse to see what's different between heathy dragons and those getting sick.
