Charles, I think it would be best if I were around when you tell your mother, hm?
Whatever you do though, don't leave it till the night before to tell her. I know you might think it'll lessen the time she'll have to, er, cling...but she'll hold onto it longer after you've moved out if you leave it that late to break the news.
Oh, and I should have said first - you'll both be missed and better be coming round for dinner on a regular basis, but I'm very pleased for you both, and know that your mother will be too.
