Proud of Tutshill for their victory last weekend. Only wish I could've done more involved. It's incredibly unsatisfying to hang out on the sidelines and watch other people do the work for you, and then try to celebrate afterwards.

Mum
Is it true that you are the one that found Susan Bones? I can only imagine... mum, if you want me to come home for a few days, help around the house, I'd be happy to you. Are you okay?

Lindsay
I think we need to re-open our search for an intern. I thought kids would want to work with dragons because they're cool, but turns out I'm the only dork in the world that does. I feel like I'm so far behind now that I'm splitting my time with Tutshill. Am I a terrible person?

Meaghan
By the way, I'm sorry if I distracted you at the match by cheering with my shirt off. (Just kidding!)

Maybe we should check and see how many Hogwarts grads when the Muggle Uni route after school and recruit from there. Or tell people what it is that we're trying to solve and see if we can get someone interested that way

I suppose. We really need the extra hands.

I think that the second one is more likely to be successful.

Okay. What do I have to do?

I would post something again, this time explaining the true nature of what we're working on. Maybe we could steal someone from Healer training or something.

I kind of doubt a Healer in training would want to give up their spot at St. Mungo's.

Probably not. I'm just trying to figure out how to appeal to those of a more scientific mindset. You need someone who can help you and Dex figure out what's killing the dragons. Which means that we're going to have to look for people who look past the "oh Helga this is SO COOL I'M working with DRAGONS!" aspect and see the dragons are dying and we have to figure out why aspect.

I suppose. What's wrong with dragons being cool? They are cool.

Perhaps we ought to talk to someone at St. Mungo's and see if they have someone that they would be willing to lend us part time?

That could work.

Also, I almost forgot. In what free time I have I've been trying to read Muggle books on what kills off species. In the 1970s an American scientist named Rachel Carson wrote a book called Silent Spring about how a common chemical used to rid places of mosquitoes was making the shells for eagles really fragile and killing off the bald eagle population. You might understand the science parts of it better than I did but it could be a place to start.

I don't have much time to read, but I might like to borrow it, if you don't mind.

I think the bigger problem were our Beaters, but yes, so much distraction would be hard to handle.

I'm hoping we will get the win next time.

Though if you wanted to take your shirt off in different circumstances...

I distracted your beaters with my shirtlessness? Interesting!

I'm sure you will.

If I wanted to what?

They distracted themselves with their nerves. Your shirtlessness was just too much to handle.

I hope so, at least.

Oh, it was nothing, just awkward you wouldn't want...

Yes, my pasty, pale skin is a lot to handle.

You will.

Wouldn't want what?

It can be overwhelming to take it all in.

I was just going to make a joke about you taking off your shirt in private but it would make you awkward and uncomfortable, sorry...

Yes, you must be careful when you look, lest you go blind.

I'm not sure I follow....

Yes, dear. I'm the one that found her. Poor thing was dumped close to the village and I found her on my morning errands. I'm just glad I found her.

I'm actually okay. She was conscious, and coherent. I cleaned her up, gave her a little something to eat before taking her to St. Mungo's. It was...nice, in a way.
