Leo meets April first when she is reporting for his dad. Then Leo finds out that April has cancer when they meet again at a Cancer Support Group. Leo had terminal brain cancer. April convinces him to have surgery and he goes into remission. Leo and April get married in the chapel at Massachusetts Medical months later, by April's grandmother after some complications happen with April's leukemia.
