Clara Oswald is sometimes described as an ordinary girl, but that is not exactly true. Perhaps she had been an ordinary girl before meeting The Doctor, but she has proved herself to be invaluable to him, along with others. She was a school teacher on Earth, and she frequently opted to travel with The Doctor. She found the travels exhilarating, and she grew to be a person she likely would never have been, had she never met The Doctor. She met him while he was in his eleventh regeneration, and stayed with him after he regenerated into his twelfth form.

She could very well be considered a hero, and she often began to copy the heroic aspect of the Doctor's personality. She had been careful before she met the Doctor, and as she grew to know him, she became more and ore reckless. Part of this is not the Doctor's fault, though. It was due to the death of her boyfriend, Danny Pink. Once Danny died in a car accident, she had lost almost everything that had tied her to Earth. She still had her father, yes, but she became more and more interested in traveling through time and space.

Growing up, Clara was interested in books and science, and less interested in more girly things like hair products. She was a smart, intelligent young woman, and quite clever. She was able to get her way out of difficult situations, almost with ease at times.

Part of the reason she was so willing to travel with the Doctor was because she had wanted to travel after she graduated from university. She had become a nanny instead, which squashed any hopes of traveling. Being a nanny isn't exactly a lucrative job.

Clara enjoys working with children, the fact that she had been both a nanny and a school teacher. She enjoyed both jobs immensely, but the desire to travel was still there. Hanging around, in the bakground.

She is a sweet, caring, kind person. Though she was fully aware that it was sometimes necessary to not be kind. And she had the ability to do so with relative ease, when she knew that it was necessary for her to do so. She has indicated a willingness to engage in deadly force when necessary. She is also aware of the danger involving time travel. She sometimes speaks without thinking, sometimes telling an offensive joke or remark. She can lie quite well, when necessary. She uses this to her advantage. She can also be quite emotional from time to time. She has strong willpower.

She has excellent computer hacking skills, though she would say that she isn't as good as some. This very well could be true, but she is at least passable in her hacking skills. She managed to hack into the pathweb of the Daleks and erase every memory of the Doctor from every single Dalek. So yeah, she was good.

She is a skilled caretaker, especially with children. She was a nanny after graduating from university, as well as a teacher. She absolutely adores children.

She has the ability to pilot unfamiliar alien vehicles, after only watching the Doctor piloting it.

She is skilled at using guns, is a good strategist. She has a lockpicking ability as well.
