Called Aidan last night, he'd like to visit. He's never been to Ireland... well, anywhere outside of the States, for that matter. I've been writing him more and more about magic, and I think his curiosity has gotten the better of him.

Mum would be thrilled to see him of course... but how to explain his visit? I could lie and say he's my American cousin.... but I hate to lie, and I also think that it would hurt Aidan's feelings to deny that we're partly brothers. He wants to see Quidditch. The idea of flying really baffles him. But if I bring him to a game, especially if he attends with my mum, there might be questions from the media. Then again, there might not. I just don't want to risk opening up that whole world for anyone to find out about. It's been such a closely kept secret for more than fifteen years of my life now. I haven't even told Jessica.

Then again, it would be grand to see him again. He has done so much for me in my lifetime, I really can't bring myself to turn him away for the sake of my reputation.

Every time he calls I want to ask if there's news from the compound. Turns out Tristan and Gavin have also struck out on their own, and are living in Washington. They've been in touch with Aidan but he has not seen them. I can only imagine what they would say if I were to write or phone. Surely they'd have some news of my sister... but I'm afraid to ask.

That makes four of us that have turned our backs on God. Four of us with the same father, but each with a different mother. Each with at least one sibling trapped on the inside. Gavin wasn't but nine years old when I saw him last. If feels like the world has spun out of control and is moving oh-so-fast.
