The second voice was the one that she had hoped to hear as well, head swiveling and looking up to get a better look at him. Her frown was drawn deeper. "What happened? A question was met with a question and, even if she damn well knew that they had time traveled, Cary's question was still weird as hell.
"Can I stand up?" She asked, agitated. Looking up, and the dim flashing lights, were getting to her eyes. Or maybe that was the worry about David and his dealings upstairs. But taking a breath, she tried to chill her own self out, if for no more reason than not to have Kerry use her bat. "I don't know. I came from 2017." Pause. "First. More recent, 2007."
"Yes, he can. We found that out the..interesting way." Next question was answered before they could ask it. There would be more questions, she knew, but first Syd wanted to get some of her own out first. She was worried about the answers as well, and wanted to keep David safe until she was sure what had happened.
