She looked back between the two, trying to discern the looks between them both. It wasn't always that it was difficult; they were both on the easy side to observe, but their looks between each other were on another level. She had often wondered whether it was a part of their strange ability, or simply the connection that bonded two close siblings. Or talking in your own mind. One day, she would sit down and try to understand how the hell it all worked.
Her look turned sharped when Kerry stated that it was just them, and sharper still at the latter statement. She was going to ask, but Kerry stormed off, disappearing in the process. "That could come in handy." Syd muttered to herself, pressing her head back against the wall for a moment before looking back up and seeing the offered hand. There was a natural moment of hesitation, but she took it, bringing herself to stand, and then lifted her eyebrows. Seven years.
Was time a fixed point? Or could they avoid all of this? Sure. That was easy. All that she needed to do was find out what happened, what went wrong, how to avoid said wrong thing, and how to defeat something that was powerful enough to do this much damage. Easy as pie.
