Damon had gone to sit with Bre and catch up, or so Elena assumed. She was content to sit at the bar and continue her little drinking game. But after a little while the music cranked up and she slid off her stool, moving over to Damon a bit unsteadily. She wasn't really sloppily drunk yet, just enough to be buzzed and excited and to let go of her inhibitions.

"Dance?" She questioned, reaching for his hand. "Please? Bre said to enjoy the ride..."

	He glanced over at Elena and he couldn't help but grin at her. She certainly seemed pretty buzzed and in a good mood. "I don't think that's the ride she meant," he said, smirking at her. 	Grin widened in response, Elena moving in time with the music. They were close, but she wasn't worried about it, not as uptight about anything at the moment. She had taken Bre's advice to heart. "You really do." Eyes were full of warmth and affection. This was exactly the distraction she needed from her life back home. But as they stood there, the song changed, to something slower. Without questioning it, her arms tightened around his neck, Elena stepping in a bit closer.

"...thank you." For saving her. For making her laugh. For just being there for her.
