CAN THIS CHARACTER BE CANON PUNCTURED? Puncturable
WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS WITH THIS CHARACTER IN GAME? Elena is going to be focused on friends and family. Caroline has had it rough with her mother's illness and Jeremy is still the center of Elena's world. Along with juggling that and schoolwork, she's also going to be rekindling things with Damon Salvatore which will likely cause some friction with Jeremy and Lexi. It will be a bit of a bumpy road.
IN GAME HISTORY: Elena Gilbert is the second child of Grayson and Miranda Gilbert, part of a set of twins, her elder sister by two minutes being Katherine. She also has a younger brother, Jeremy.
She dated throughout high school, probably the most serious relationship was with Damon Salvatore. It lasted for quite some time, though it ended in a veritable explosion when she discovered that he had cheated on her with another woman. That knowledge also led to hard feelings between her brother and her ex.
After their parents died, Elena decided to stay close to home. Although Jeremy was almost grown at the time, she felt a need to be there for him as their family crumbled. To that extent, even when she applied to colleges she stayed close to home, eventually settling on UC Irvine. Currently she has completed her bachelor's degree and is working toward a medical degree.
Over the past few months as her best friend Caroline's mother battled cancer, Elena was there as much as possible: ordering meals, running errands, and doing everything she could to give Caroline and her mother as much time as possible before the grim reaper took her.
Now she's trying to be there for her friend. She's also run into her old flame a few times recently. Though things ended badly between them there is still something there, undeniably so. Elena has found herself hoping against reason that they've both grown in the intervening years...and that they might rekindle that spark.
Elena shifted again, turning for what felt like the hundredth time since she'd turned out the lights. She should be exhausted, dead on her feet after a long day at school and then checking in on Caroline before errands and family dinner. And yet she couldn't seem to get her brain to shut off. Every time she closed her eyes she saw a familiar pair of twinkling blue eyes and the grin that had made her weak in the knees once upon a time.
It still did, if she were being honest. She still found herself battling butterflies in her stomach at the thought of Damon Salvatore pressed close, of that familiar cologne tickling her nose. And what made it all the worse was that she knew she shouldn't. She shouldn't even be having these thoughts. He'd abused her trust once and yet there she was contemplating what might happen if she decided to give him a second chance. If he even wanted a second chance...
Sighing softly, Elena pushed herself up, padding downstairs. She would make some herbal tea, calm down, smack some sense into herself and go to sleep. She had to. She couldn't keep dwelling on the past and the what-ifs. She only hoped that Jeremy wasn't still awake. This was definitely not a conversation she wanted to have with him.
