SKILLS/ABILITIES
As a vampire, Elena has the usual skills. She can compel (if the person in question is free of vervain), is much stronger than humans, and can blur faster than the human eye can follow. She also heals quickly and can use her blood to heal others. She is a doppelganger, which brings with it a certain innate level of magic, as well.

WHY DID MANAGEMENT CHOOSE THEM?
She is a vampire and a doppelganger so is pretty unique and adapts easily.

WHAT WILL THEY GET OUT OF THIS ARRANGEMENT?
Elena will be able to take a break from her hectic life and enjoy the slower pace of an earlier time. As Damon Salvatore is also there, she is unlikely to want to leave him.

PERSONALITY
Elena is extremely dedicated to friends and family. She inspires a level of devotion that has led many people in her life to sacrifice themselves, or at least be willing to sacrifice themselves, in order to keep her safe. She is more than willing to do the same in return by putting her life on the line to keep them safe, as well. This sometimes leads her to overstep boundaries, such as the time she asked Damon to erase Jeremy's memory to ease his pain. She's stubborn and self-assured, and will leap into danger without fully considering the consequences if it means that she will keep those she loves safe. Though she has suffered many losses in her short life including parents (both birth and adopted), her Aunt Jenna, two of her brother’s girlfriends, and countless classmates, Elena remains the eternal optimist. She always sees the good in people, always looks for the light in any situation, refusing to give up or be beaten down. Regardless of past tragedy, Elena has a lighter side and loves hanging out with her two best friends Bonnie and Caroline, joking and laughing, teasing and just having a good time. She throws herself whole-heartedly into any relationship she is in, and always strives to do what is best, though she can have a jealous side, as well, especially where the Salvatore brothers are concerned. Without her daylight ring, Elena is vulnerable to sunshine,. As a vampire, vervain will burn her, and she can be killed by a stake to the heart or by beheading.

Intro post:

Sunlight streamed through the windows in Damon's bedroom and, snuggled up in the luxurious bedding, Elena was not at all inclined to move. They'd spent last night and most of the morning as they had the rest of the summer. Ever since Elena had told Damon she loved him, and wasn't sorry, an explosive force had taken over. They couldn't keep their hands off one another and the world had receded into a sort of hazy distraction that neither needed.

Shifting slightly, to get a better look at her sleeping boyfriend, Elena smiled. One hand rose, ready to brush a stray lock of hair back off his brow. And then, in the blink of an eye, she found herself suddenly on the hard ground, dust rising lazily around her.

"C'mon then, I don't have all day," a gruff voice ordered. Blinking, she forced herself up, completely stunned by this turn of events, and allowed herself to be lead to a tent, wide eyes studying her surroundings as she went. What was this? Where was she? How had someone managed to get her from bed to a circus, of all places?

"Strong person," came the pronunciation, and Elena found a leotard pushed into her hands. "Better get started."

Feels kind of strange to be writing this, and actually acknowledging that I am, in fact, in the 1930s. Of course it's not like I'm a stranger to the supernatural, but time travel is something new. Even for me. At least Damon's here, too.
